And you should note that Blogger content is stored on Google's own servers which means their bots will index it much faster than a blog or website stored elsewhere. However, the cons are there as well.

First con, blogging has become extremely saturated, and to compete very well in this business, you need to stand out with not just quality content, but with money for promotion.

Second con, blogging is time consuming but returns very little in money. So, you need to give in a lot, while you will certainly get very little in return (at least, for a long while). This has caused many bloggers to leave in search of other businesses.

In other words, blogging is not as lucrative as some people will make you believe.

Only a few bloggers (who certainly started decades ago) are enjoying huge returns. These people are lucky to have started at the time when blogging was not saturated.

Today, there are hundreds of blogs, and that is a huge competition.

So, if you insist on blogging, you must be passionate about it, because blogging is far from being a get-rich-quick scheme. Your passion is what will keep you blogging because honestly, you will be spending time and money and still not make any reasonable returns. You may not even make any returns.

So, what you want to get from blogging is what will determine the pros and cons.

You don't need to any computer training as far as you know how to use Word Processing application such as Ms. Word or Notepad.

Domain name price varies depending on the extension you want to use.

A .com.ng domain name is cheaper than a .com and .ng domain names. So decide is what you want first.

A .com.ng domain name should cost you about NGN 1,500 and a .com domain is more than 4k naira depending on the exchange rate used by the domain registrar.

Your targeted audience would also influence your choice of domain extension.

I don't know your budget for web host but whichever web host you opt for must guarantee you an uptime of 99.99% else your blog will be offline more than its online.
