. ASUU is a group of very street smart people. Their members needed money to spend for Christmas and end of the year party, thus they cajoled the FG into paying them two month while giving them 7 conditions which they know very well the FG can never fulfilled. Now, they have a good reason to continue the strike action as one of the conditions given was to resume the strike without any prior notice if the government fails to do what they want. ASUU 1--- 0 Federal government/ Students . |

and to all those haters and beefers that said private universities like Covenant, Bowen etc are glorified secondary..; which will u prefer.. assuming u can afford it.. study mechanical engineering in a private university and graduate after 5yrs or in a Public University and graduate after 5+X yrs (where X can be > 1 year as we can see it now).. so stop hating others because u cant achieve what they have now, but work-hard and believe that one day your children can achieve or even u sef |

I see no reason why ASUU will be demanding for salaries of months they didn’t work.. Are the lecturers considering house rent students are going to pay for without them staying in it,and here they are trying to prolong something that we all thought have been settled |
Re: FG Reportedly Fails To Honour Pact With ASUU by bobolaga: 3:16pm On Jan 04, 2021 |
U see no reasons why ASUU is demanding for huge amount money when our senators are the highest paid in the whole world, till now no increment evident in Nigeria Police salaries, this administration will give you with right hand and retrieved it with left hand, couple with six years inflation in Nigeria. No Nigerian is been paid with Dollars but we use Dollars as an excuses of our inflation, remember that is one of his campaign promise says he will make one Dollar equal to one Naira, as it is stands now Chad and Niger republic enjoy Nigeria economy more than Nigerians. |

Akporhono4u: A lecturers job description is beyond what they do within the classrooms. They are also obligated to do research works, write and publish articles. Also, some of the lecturers are also students in various universities, running MSc and PhD programs. So the strike affects them too. 2 Likes |
