This is the second part of the article “Wrong Choice In marriage.” Here, I will be telling you some signs you should watch out for before you say “yes, I do” to that person you truly love would love to spend the rest of your life with.

1. Regular fights

If the person you plan to marry picks up fights at things as simple as pressing the toothpaste in the middle instead of pressing it at the bottom, that kind of person is not for you.

The fights can range from verbal abuse to physical abuse, in what ever form it comes, an abusive partner should be a ‘no’. It will be better you run for your life before things get really ugly.


2. Feeling lonely while you are with your partner

Nothing beats a man (and a woman) down than not feeling the relationship (or marriage). Your partner is in the house with you but it looks as though you are all alone, minding your business, that is not a right relationship. In fact, you don’t need such relationship.

If you feel lonely during courtship, it won’t get any better but worse after marrying each other.

If you feel like you don’t need your partner around more than you need their presence, don’t think about a future with that partner. Settle the matter and go your different ways.



3. You think differently and see things from different perspectives

It’s normal for two people in a relationship to see and reason things differently, but when you both can’t sit and make decisions and agree together, there’s definitely a problem.

Respecting each other’s decisions is a very vital booster. If you say to your partner, “let’s do it this way,” and they turn your opinion down without hearing you out first, it’s a red flag my dear. Marriage is not the best option when it comes to having a relationship with someone who doesn’t respect you. You must be ready to respect each other and whatever each one of you thinks is best for the relationship.


4. The connectivity cuts

It’s possible one of you is still very much in love with the other while the other is not feeling anything anymore, when this happens, it’s time you said “e go be.”



Love fades, in case you didn’t believe before, believe now. Once you start feeling like you want to be alone, or you notice the relationship is becoming boring and dull, you don’t give each other gists like you used to, either or both of you become too busy for the relationship, that person you thought was right for you is gradually becoming the wrong person.

Effective communication is very essential in every relationship, if this is missing in your courtship, well…



5. Your partner is more concerned about the wedding than the marriage

A very expensive wedding, yeah? Nice!

Fifty ‘aso ebi’ ladies? Awesome idea!

Wedding cake ordered in from Dubai? Sweet!



Once your partner becomes too obsessed with having a flamboyant wedding ceremony and does not care a sec about how the marriage show runs afterwards, you may want to reconsider your decision to marry such person. Someone who doesn’t think about nor plan the future is not right for you. Think twice.
