Many times, people talk about cutting off friends but when they do so, other people come out to say how they are being proud.

Pride actually lies in doing what makes you happy and more of a better person than doing that which destroys and negates your life.

A soldier served in the Nigerian army for thirty five years before his retirement. Following his retirement, he left the barracks to his village. Less than a month later, he was reported dead.

He had gone out with "friends" to drink and make merry but one of those friends ended his life. He might have or might not have seen the signs of enmity in that friendship but he chose to ignore. They were his friends, after all.

Another girl caught her boyfriend cheating on her with her best friend and she was left heartbroken. She told people who cared to listen that she always doubted the relationship between her friend and boyfriend but she ignored it.

There are many stories of how friends have destroyed each other.

There are good people out there but till you find those good people, protect yourself by avoiding the bad ones. Learn to enjoy your own company.

If you do not end that friendship when you notice signs, the friendship will end you.

Before anything else, peace of mind matters a lot. Your life before that friendship.

My father told me many years ago that you must ensure what ever your friend is dishing out on you until you are filled and learn to survive without them....
