Fornication is a sin.

{part 2; written by IV} [part 1: https://www.nairaland.com/6367675/what-fornication]

But is fornication pre-martial sex?

Yes and no.

Yes in the sense that married folks are expected to be committed to each other, but fornication lacks that commitment.

No in the sense, not every sex that happens before marriage is done outside commitment.

Two people can be committed to each other but their relationship is not yet recognized by family or state. In fact there are lots of pre-martial sex in the bible God didn't count as sin.

I cannot be wiser than the one who gave me wisdom, to call sin what he didn't call sin.

I have written already that what God cares about is commitment, in fact, this is the reason God hates fornication so much more than he hates prostitution.

You would see him using prostitutes or saying things like, "have you not whored yourself for free, you don't even collect money or accept any financial commitment from your male lovers".

It's still bad when it's done for material pleasure, but fornication is worse because it free fun(at an unknown cost).

Ah, God says such free fun is bad, why? Isn't this why many don't like God, the bible or his ways.
But what lusts takes away from you is more than it gives you (which I could tell you more on the relationship between lust and witchcraft,)

Now as it regards Divorce

When Jesus says But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)

That as a man you see a woman, and next thing you want to sleep with her, no commitment no nothing.
That's lust, fornication, adultery.

And that's why Jesus didn't say "wife" he said "woman".

So as a man when your only desire for approaching or looking at a woman is what you can get from her body, you are a fornicator and a sinner.
Yes we are all sinners but some have a repentant heart.

And you that is with him just because of pleasure, you are a fornicator, you have no intention of commitment.

God values commitment so much, let's look at Matthew 19
In verse 3, we see how some men are,...

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
[written by IV] Imagine, for EVERY cause, it means any reason a person gives is good enough.

That is "Is it right for a man to divorce his wife for any reason he chooses?”.

But there is a reason they said EVERY because there is one reason they "put away" their wives and it's usually the same reason some boys breaks up with a girl.

It's because they have used her, tasted her and are tired of her. Not because she has done anything wrong but because they want to spend more on a new fresh woman.

Jesus answered them by stating God's love for commitment in verses 4-6, but they insisted trying to justify their lust, to "legalize" their fornication

In verse 8, Jesus says they put away their wives because of their harden hearts...

Some will say, it is because of their past experience that their heart is now harden. There are princes, young men from "well to do homes" even women who become fornicators and even rapists.

Men that lust after you, when they have used you, they will hate you and dump you.

Look at the story of Tamar in 2 Samuel 13...
[written by IV]

Amnon said he "loved" Tamar, but he had a friend as crafty as the serpent, so Amnon lusted after her.

His heart was so hardened he didn't listen to her in verse 12-14, AND HE RAPED HER.

Red flag 1, he or she not only has bad friends but they give ear to bad people.

Red flag 2, just like nabal the fool, who due to his selfishness and greed, refused to aid or pay David and didn't listen to the wise words of his wife[/b], Amnon didn't listen to Tamar's plea.

When a man doesn't listen to God, nor any advice to marry instead of lusting, like Paul wrote, such a person is given to their own selfishness.
You will notice when someone doesn't really care about you but about what they want, except lust has blinded your eye as well.
(people fill with lust are either short sighted or blind)

People who are only after their desire, do anything to get it, they care not for your pain nor happiness. And like James 4 says even hurting you in the process.

Fornicators are rapists, not just of your body, but your emotions and your rights.

Lust always leads to; hatred, wrath, quarrels, unhappiness, break ups and destruction.

A nation and it's economy suffers because it's leaders are fornicators taking anything and everything due to their own desires and pleasure.

Back to Matthew 19, on fornication and divorce, now verse 9
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

{written by IV}
Except for fornication, that is,
1. expect she is found not be committed to the man
2. She is committed to idolatry, sleeping around and is not a child of God (Paul echoes this part in his writings)

And not because you're now tired of taking care of a woman you have used and no more interested in.

The man's adultery is him breaking commitment and faithfulness by discarding a faithful wife. Whoever marries her, is marrying a woman who in the eyes of God still deserves to be in her husband's house.

Now because there was no unfaithfulness on her path for the marriage to be properly dissolved, in God's eyes she is still a wife, that's why Matthew 5:32 says he causes her to commit adultery.

Now, let's understand a bit about how it works legally in the courts of heaven... If she is found to be a fornicator and her husband leaves her, she then has to repent of her fornication and then maybe remarry.

Now when a man drives a committed woman away, she suffers but God punishes such a man except he repents of his wickedness.

So if you are a guy here, you're enjoying that babe for free, no commitment, oga fornicator, repent before the day you will pay the price for it.

If you are committed to her and you're sleeping with her, please protect her value and legally marry her.

And ladies it is wickedness to leave a man who is committed and faithful because of your lust, for there are few that exists. So repent

Free woman! free woman!! free woman!!! , yes you're a free woman, yes it is your body and yes marriage is not freedom to do whatever you want..

But read this carefully with wisdom

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:39

and listen

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
1 Peter 2:16

Happy Sunday everyone

Fornication in whatever approach is a sin no matter how sugar-coated.

Your theory really doesn't matter.
