Masturbation and sexual intercourse (sex outside marriage) is a sin before God Almighty and if you partake in it, you're telling God that you don't care about His commandment. Though, you can be holy and still indulge in fornication and masturbation. You may relate it to evil spirit, but it is not - they are some certain things that push you to masturbate and fornicate. Let me shock you with this (lol); you don't need prayer to break free from these addictions; masturbation, fornication and pornography. You might pray against masturbation and still end up indulging in the act. It is necessary to get yourself arm with knowledge, rather than praying blindly. I'm not saying that you should not pray, but prayer without action will lead to nothing.
