Us president: how do we dispose these used old outdated police equipment? US waste management: we can donate them to the third world countries like Nigeria instead of increasing the garbage we have in US US president: ok approved, dont forget to put micro chip tracking devices on all equipment so we keep monitoring them. 2 Likes |

Vardanes2: If we have practiced regions and it didnt work, we have practiced unitary system now for decades, still didnt work. Nigeria should better path ways like many European countries did. U see this current system: It will never ever ever ever work. 50 years to come, if we continue this system, Nigeria will be worse, just as Nigeria is worse compared to 30 years ago. There were time electricity was stable in Nigeria, now, it is worse. So, Nigeria actually gets worse each year. |

Kudejo: Equipment that would be used by the Nigerian Police through SARS or is it SWAT to further kill Nigerian Youths. why couldnt they donate hospital equipment or computers for schools? If you think that the Fulanis in Government will use equipments to kill Fulani bandits, then you must have been sleeping for the last 5-6 years. When will you learn? Who donates weapons to countries like Nigeria with deplorable human rights record? 2 Likes |

Vardanes2: Nigeria's problem is the dysfunctional political and economic structure it is operating. It has nothing to do with the meager amount of budget. Even if you budget one trillion dollars for the dysfunctional Nigeria Police, it will not make much difference. There are too many inefficiencies built into the Nigerian system because of the unitary system it is operating. If the country is not restructured, nothing will ever work. |

Re: US Doantes Equipment Worth $325,000 To Nigerian Police Force by onuman: 4:48pm On Jan 30, 2021 |
Can some body tell donor Americans that Instead of restructuring Nigeria politically to governable political structure, cheap cash from crude oil makes politicians fix on one unitary government system with a president and legislative house looming like gods over Nigerians. That gave rise to insurgents Boko Haram, secessionists IPOB and Oduduwa; Fulani herdsmen aided by govt and are gunning to occupy all of Nigeria. Any military aid to Nigerian government is like aid to kill these restive civilian groups in Nigeria, instead of restructuring Nigeria politically to a more manageable country.

Vardanes2: Resources found in your lands become yours, pls. Are u telling me that Africans cant resolve their identity issues just as Europeans did? Why are we so scared of changing a system that has not worked for us for decades, yet we are complaining. If we continue with this system, in 50 years time, we will only get worse. Nigerian elites are already buying citizenship of many countries. They dont even believe in Nigeria. |

Vardanes2:Which states in Nigeria meet up to the economic level of New York? What is in New York and what is in Abuja or Lagos? Ask yourself. The police in New York are better than the entire NPF cross country. No be beef but you have to consider expertise, professionalism, paycheck, constant interaction with the world's elite, also the slum kid millionaires and billionares. The city is invaluable. That's why apocalyptic movies are shot with New York as it's theme. The city is over policed for the right reasons. |

poseidon12: Abeg, there are a lot of ineffiencies and injustice in the US system, yet the US police has enough funding to do what it needs to do...most of the time...solve crime. Here in Nigeria, it is even a wonder the Police works with the budget it gets. One billion dollars to police 200 million people, when some cities in the USA get five times that to police 20 million people or less. That's why we have to accept some hard facts...either we find the money to adequately fund our police, or we keep our police the way it is...poor and cash strapped. The problem with Nigeria is that we think that because we are an oil rich naiton we must be rich. Yes, we have oil...but what we earn from that oil cannot sustain 20 million people, talkless 200million. And the problem I have with restructing is that at the end of the day, it is a call to go back to how things were in the 1960's when we had 3 rtegions and everyone had 'enough'. Well, we did not have enough, and agriculture and mining cannot sustain us adequately...all the countries that rely on the same in Africa also take loans...more than we do self. |

Kudejo: How was the travel ban affecting ordinary Nigerian? How is the equipment going to help our nigerians? Dem b donate military equipment to help fight boko dem turn loot am and the police won't be different. How is the equipment gonna help in reforming the police? instead it will give them power to maltreat it citizen. The best thing this foreign govt could do is to put pressure on our polithieftians. 1 Like |

Washere: Boko Haram for example, emerged shortly after Arewa 12 states adopted unconstitutional Islamic Sharia criminal laws. Boko Haram says it’s fighting for a country to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal laws. Boko Haram are Nigerians. Instead of restructuring Nigeria politically so that Arewa 12 states shall have ample opportunities for Islamic Sharia criminal justice system, Arewa says no to restructuring Nigeria because of cheap cash from crude oil and gas deposits in the south. President of Nigeria from Arewa would rather want American guns to kill off Nigerians that are in Boko Haram and other restive groups. |

Princedapace: Into how many countries will we divide. This isn't 1960, even now, everyone wants to be strong and independent. Plus, all this concentraiton on resuorces is why we are underdeveloped. You want splititng up because you think you will benefift from more oil money, which you will use to import. Thopse who oppose splitting up do so for the same reason. As for me, Nigeria is the best option of all the bad options we have. And if we want to progress, we have to wake up to the fact that we are nopt rich, and that we have to work our way to riches. Then we can split up however we want. |
