Indegenes of ette have continuously rejected any Gorvernment project from enugu state claiming that they are from Kogi state not Enugu state. They have burnt down majority of the schools built for them, stopped construction companies from advancing to their area during road constructions.
They lost their case in court sometimes ago. The court categorically told them to their faces that the land they occupy belongs to Enugu not Kogi but till now they still reject every single project brought to the area by the Enugu state government.

Their eyes don dey open small small. It's actually high time the Govt forgives them. They brought all these upon themselves.

I was one of the first three Corp members to be posted to Unyi Ette in 2010 ( Calvary secondary school). All the claims are true and I remembered, we almost lost our lives to this ownership problem between Kogi and Enugu when people took to the street to protest mayor's candidacy. Enugu government should please come to their aid or they should legally concede the area to Kogi.

N.B: Ette people are very accommodating, initially I thought I was sent to hell but later it became a home.

I agree. I was at Yenagoa a week ago and the place looked a fine village. A state capital. With how small that state is, one would think they'd manage it so well.

Anybody from Ogbaru will Gist you about Ogwu-aniocha.. The village whose government knows and come with helicopter only election time... No water, no power supply, no road, no hospital.. In fact no LIFE

Enugu State has a lot of "ime obodo" i.e underdeveloped areas.

You won't believe it until you travel around the state.

Apart from Enugu City which is fully developed and Nsukka which is gradually trying to come up, so many other places in the state are still pretty much underdeveloped.
