You're right. But they are right too. In Nigeria, you don't just start taking money without making people suffer a little. They'll refute your attempt and feel parking anywhere is their right.

This is how it works: you ban it so they can feel the pains. Now, build a park and they will happily pay.

The reason for this is: humans hate to pay except they're feeling pains. If you want to make money from people, make things hard for them first. At a point, ease the harshess and they'll gladly do whatever you want.

If uploading just a picture with his hand raised above his head to get 40k free of charge is what you call stress then stress is not in this country at all.
Same 40k that is above the minimum wage that many workers don't earn for a whole month, he should just give it out like that without any confirmation .
Oya bros ,since you don't want to stress him ,just send him the 20k he requested for initially.
We wen don comot Delta state enter Bayelsa ,cross rivers go creeks to do medical outreach ,1 full week , even though dem call am scholarship ,so we fit see money Tek pay 400 level school fees never call am stress na just one picture upload ,, applaudiseh well well

So myopic reasoning angry Instead of banning them from driving cars inside the school, the management should utilize the opportunity and build a car park, place security there and collect parking fee of #100 or #200 thereby creating revenue for the institution.

Have you ever met a Human Money Magnet?

You know what I’m talking about.

While most people hustle to the point of exhaustion (and never get rich)… a Human Money Magnet always attracts wealth effortlessly.

While most people struggle with poor financial habits (overspending and getting into debt), a Human Money Magnet’s habits keep the money rolling in…

While most people think wealth is a matter of ‘luck,’ a Human Money Magnet knows that anyone can attract limitless abundance with the right beliefs…

Which means you

This Human Money Magnet stated here, shed more light on it, especially how they operate and their strategies that makes them attract wealth effortlessly and keep the money rolling in. What are their beliefs?

Why should someone (student/staff/visitor) pay to park a vehicle within the school premises?

Your type of people are the ones running our banking system, their brain only functions when it is time to extort money.

The ban actually started this month and I would say it is a welcome development. You need to come and see how these students misbehave with cars during exam periods. This not a matter of students oppressing lecturers now but the way these students go about disturbing school environment with loud music, spraying money and all sort of crazy things.

I work in the school.
But rather.than banning.it
Wouldnt it have been beta they lay down protocol
Banning students cars to be is so absurd o
Cox lecturer get hin car he park
Why should others be deprived

All i see here is that they need to enforce certain standards and code of driving
Penalty for d offenders... that's all

Time that students would use to read, they will be driving car, going to mechanic and buying fuel.

Abeg let the whole country Universities ban students from driving. Students need to invent things NOT Car driving

Well I don't think this solution will perfectly solve the problem at hand, according to mobola121(f) who work there i quote. "
You need to come and see how these students misbehave with cars during exam periods. This not a matter of students oppressing lecturers now but the way these students go about disturbing school environment with loud music, spraying money and all sort of crazy things
".
Probably, introducing a park and pay policy would neither help. Paying #100, #200 is pretty noo big deal for a student who owns a car to pay, after then the lack of decorum around the campus is still not solve. So banning is the best for now prior to when the school makes plans to restrategized and lift the ban.

Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, has allegedly banned students from driving cars within the school premises, IgbereTV has learnt.

Banners to this effect were put up at strategic locations on campus.

The school's management cited security reasons as a motive for this development.

A tighter and more stringent security check on the vehicles would solve the problem.
The university security would check the vehicles particulars so as to know whether the cars belong to them, or to their Parents??
If it belongs to their parents, then it has no business in the university premises.
They probably sneaked it out from their parents - which can also be categorized as stealing.
If it belongs to them, then they should provide information about their jobs in their students profile, and their jobs should be included in their University ID-Cards.
If the vehicles looks way beyond what jobs they said they are doing, then their tax profiles should also be verified at the point of check too.
(Now I just remembered that Nigerians don't pay tax for using expensive vehicles)
