IFELEKE:

That is an impossibility,CPC will rather walk alone than merge with those losers

People now see beyond ethnic affliations, above regional barriers . . .we are now voting for genuine change irrespective of where it's coming from

Be there, when difficult issues need to be decided, I can assure you that both houses will vote along ethnic/regional lines and I actually like that!

You seem to forget that by the time all results(genuine not doctored) come in,PDP's strength would have been limited to just the south south and few in the south east.Tell me,how do you see such alliance?

I hope these opposition guys that won won't defect to the PDP in due time. . .

This time around, when you defect to another party, you leave the position vacant. This will minimise cross-carpeting unlike before.

APGA and ACN are getting stronger in the S/East and its just a matter of time before S/South collapses.Afterall, the wind of change is already blowing in Edo and Delta states.

No need to celebrate cos we have been here before. 90% of the ACN and APGA candidates in the South East are PDP members and affiliates of GEJ who went there to get the tickets. When GEJ wins, they would all decamp back to PDP as usual.Even in Bayelsa where Labour Party is projected to win the Governorship, Alaibe is an associate of GEJ who would again definitely go back to PDP if he wins. The point is, people are voting for individuals more than party, thats why PDP could win in Gombe.

i have just gotten news from a corper from akwa ibom that a commissioner packed all of them immediately after  d election to his house and shared money and made them to falsify the results in favour of pdp and are making plans for rigging on behalf of gej in akwa ibom.

Don't be too sure about that, once Alaibe realises that He doesn't need GEJ to remain relevant to his people, He would prefer to remain in a party that He can easily have a strangle hold of. a party with lesser competitors. And the fear of the next election (4 yrs time) will make politicians think twice before making any decisions.

Are you sure that is in the law? To the best of my knowlegde, it was muted but not passed. Besides, the consitution allows where there is 'division' in the party and the constitution is superior to any other law. So all a person needs to prove to decamp is that there are factions in the party, and in Nigeria's politics, thats a normal occurence

Nigerian media organisations are a big disgrace. If they know their jobs, by now results for most parts of the country would have been known. They should have organised themselves and created platforms for Nigerians to upload results. They could have also recruited people or worked with civil society organisations and election monitors to get result uploaded. That was what happened in Ghana's last election within 8 hours media organisations were already displaying the result, yet with all our failings we still call ourselves the giant of Africa. There is no law that states that media organisations cannot display results; all the law states is that INEC is the authority that declares the winner.

Nigerians need to learn about collaboration and pulling of resources to achieve goals. Enough of lazy journalism. With all the mobile phones in this country we still do not know the results by now. Why are we spending billions importing phones if it is not useful when it matters most? It is a big shame.
