Therefore, the appellation of "Fulani" or "herdsman" becomes irrelevant because they are just crass criminals. I was impressed .The truth is ,majorities of our own Fulani benefited from the obnoxious activities of the herders and foreign Fulani's that came through our porous borders. When I was a school boy in Nigeria in those days ,my father rented a lot of our rooms to Fulani and we all live together as big family then. There is a synergy between the two. The criminal activities of Fulani herdsmen which has gone largely unchecked by theBuhari administration for obvious reasons emboldened and softened the ground for banditry to thrive. That is my point.
