If the runway was too far off why not put the craft down on a highway or something. There are many long, well paved roads around Abuja.

When you lose an engine it is an emergency but not a crises until the second and third (if there are more) are lost. If it is certain the aircraft cannot remain airborne it is pointless trying for an airport, just look for a safe strip of land and land.

These kinds of airplanes should have an eject mechanism or at least parachutes for onboard officers. It's weird to allow 7 service men die from a plane crash when they could have abandoned the doomed plane and parachuted to safety.

It's already in vain , any service done to naija is in vain, the crash should also be investigated

I think the aircraft is old and lack in basic n comprehensive standard maintenance .Ogas will sign up for new aircraft but dubiously asked for China refurbished U.S abandoned airship stressing up coming ones with No solutions mechanic activities...
