THE former Minister of State for Works and Chairman of Southwest Agenda 23, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, on Sunday said, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu remains the best candidate to succeed the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), in 2003.

Adeyeye said this when members of the group paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi.

He said, “Tinubu is a good product that doesn’t need any advertisement and he has contributed greatly to the growth and development of the nation. He is consummate democrat and progressive.

“We have three geo-political zones in the South, and all of them have the right to contest for the presidency. South West is interested to contest for the presidency in 2023. The person who can help us win this ticket is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

“He has done a lot for Nigerians irrespective of religion and tribe. He has built bridges across the country.

“We gathered together to start campaigning for him. If we can hold our house together, we will have the presidency back in the southwest.”

According to him, the group was earlier inaugurated in Oyo and Osun States while the inauguration of the Ogun State chapter is scheduled to hold on Tuesday.

The group paid a similar visit to the Asoludero Court Sagamu residence of a former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel.
Responding, Oba Ajayi canvassed support for South West to produce next president in the country.

They know giving Gej a chance to complete his remaining 4years is the fastest chance for power to return to the north.

The events that played in the SW has shown that the SW are good at camouflage they showed their deep intentions, what happened in the SW has to northerner's has never happened in any state in the south since the return of democracy.

And it became more clear when it happened and no arrest was made nor army called in like what happened in oyigbo in SS and Orlu in south east.

Tinubu is a good leader and even a better politician.
But the circumstances of he being the APC flag bearer to clinch the seat doesn't favour the party.
Tinubu is a Muslim and needs a northern christain as vice.
tinubu is only capable of winning the Southwest region in the south and I know for sure no christain northern VP can give him up to 50% in the north.
I think the APC best bet is Amaechi.
and I believe buhari would give Amaechi/elrufai his blessings that that political olosho Dogara( tinubu planned VP).

just like tinubu, Amaechi invested massively in the APC road to power, and unlike tinubu, he's not been rewarded that much.
apart from minister slot, he's not had other benefits despite his investment.
tinubu on the other hand has the VP slot, several ministers, as well as the highest party position.

Amaechi should be our best point.
