Tomatoes, pepper and onions can be cultivated in the South but the truth is that our Southern youths prefer to leave the villages to the cities in search of the elusive, 'White-colar-jobs'. This is the time to go Agrarian and back to the land. It's 'Operation feed the nation'. 7 Likes |

Seconded by me... Agriculture was once the major source of income for this nation b4 crude oil divides us... It's better to go back now.. With it farm produces will be affordable to all not only the rich. Nothing brings money in like agriculture.. Its an oil boom on its own. If u know u know 6 Likes |

The south want to go back to agriculture when the south have all left agriculture. You can't train farmers in 1 week. How many southerners can wait for harvest season lets imagine they plant corn today. Wont they leave the farms and go pursue something that will give them instant cash. The reality is, you can't make people into farmers. 1 Like |

In Benin we don't eat Hausa pepper any more. We eat Captain Hosa pepper. Which is 100 times better than the Hausa pepper. Whenever you go to any market in Benin, just ask of captain Hosa pepper. All you need is just about 3-4 pepper to prepare a pot of soup. Agroeconomy is the new money spinner. 3 Likes 1 Share |

chinjo: Capitain hosa pepper is just a brand. It is packaging The pepper is the product, the pepper are gotten in large quantity from the north. There are different species of pepper, you select the one you want, dry them, ground and repackage 1 Like |

These re the foods that matter not onions, beans Guinea corn and sorghum. In fact palm oil is the baba of them all. And its not in the north |

Till today as we speak. Vehicles still move pineapples pawpaw and citrus to the north. When u talk about fruits and vegetables count the north out. You all re very useless. Your people here all they do is scout for iron and rubbish, sell onions sugarcane, and carrots. Maybe do menial jobs. Thats all. Yiu re not entrepreneurs, If you leave nobody will feel it And you have taken to criminality and that's unacceptable. Keep your banditory and terrorism in the north. Do you know we can feed ourselves, if a family in the southern part of this country adopts the ideal of one family, one farm. It will go a long way "subsistence farming". 1 Like |

thebosstrevor1 guy is a clown. The North is useless whether you like to hear it or not. Most commodities brought from the north except beans are non staple foods. tomatoes, onions, paper, carrot etc are commodities we can do without. staple food in the East are cassava, rice, yam etc most of which are grown in the south. North is actually poor in agriculture when you consider their terribly low demand for their own produce occasioned by poverty. Also the south is not doing very badly because their high demand for their own produce makes their success less visible. The idea that north feeds the country is a scam. 1 Like |

We have a tomatoes farm in Nnewi.. Anambra state made a lot of catching up in rice farming, beans is planted in ebonyi, thr is pineapple in my compound in Anambra, onions grow in the south. Yam grow in the south.. To show how daft this aboki running up and down here is... Simple logic How can a land in the sahel be more productive than a land invthe rain forest.. The north produce foods wit chemical fertilisers.... Our land is blessed we dont need to such to feed ourselves 3 Likes |

In the east u will get casava, maize, yam(most ppl go for abuja yam coz they believe it rich) the fruit and vegetables are made I South, the amount of plantain in the South will feed the north, Niger and Cameroon together. Ginger is the most easy to grow, even the one I planted in my backyard can open shop for a barrow pusher, like wise garlic, cucumber, garden egg are all product north don't have monopoly over 2 Likes |
