Access Bank Is About To Ruin Me! by MONITITUDE: 10:50pm On Feb 28, 2021
1. I applied for the CBN Covid-19 facility through NIRSAL MfB at the outbreak of the pandemic last year.

2. Fortunately, the facility was approved and payment made to the account I filled during application, Access Bank on 9th December, 2020

3. Prior to the day payment was made, I had requested that my Access Bank account be closed due to unsatisfactory service I received around last week of November 2020 and I had totally lost hope on receiving the facility from CBN/NIRSAL.

4. Curiously, I received SMS from Access Bank that I have been migrated to savings account from Diamond Extra instead of total closure of the account and was still able to check my zero balance through USSD code and my password which supposed not to be.

5. I rushed to the bank to complain to them but was told it was a normal process for the bank to do that.

5. On the 11th of December, I got a call from NIRSAL that the loan has been disbursed to my Access Bank account.

6. I called their call center when I did not receive alert. The call center representative told me exact amount pending and advised I should reactivate the account so that it could be credited.

7. On the 18th December I got the account reactivated but the money was not credited. So, I went back to the bank and I was told to provide proof of payment by NIRSAL.

8. On 22nd I obtained proof of payment from NIRSAL containing a-30 digit session ID as requested by Access Bank. I did not hear anything from them.

9. So, on 25th December I mailed customer care only to be replied on 2nd January 2021 that there was nothing like that fund coming into my account or hanging

10. On the 5th January, I wrote NIRSAL about the development and NIRSAL checked with Zenith Bank where NIRSAL account is domicile and it was confirmed that the refund did not return to Zenith Bank from Access Bank and as it stands, it is as good as disbursed to me.

11. On the 14th of January, when NIRSAL related this to me, I wrote Access Bank in hard copy to provide proof containing their session ID just like Zenith did to show evidence of payment but Access has refused to reply my letter.

12. I related this to NIRSAL and they wrote on my behalf that Access should provide the session ID to show it returned the money back to Zenith since 20th January. As we speak, Access Bank is yet to reply.

MY WORRIES

As far as NIRSAL is concerned, they have disbursed the loan to me based on their record ( session ID). It thus implies I am obligated to start making repayment at the expiration of moratorium period of money I don't have possession of or that I should have started using to profit since about 80 days ago.

I need your suggestions. I also need help on how to escalate until it gets to their MD. A lot of none sense is going on at Access Bank.

You might need to get your evidence ready, send a mail to access bank and copy CBN. Get a lawyer to write CBN proper, then the bank itself, attach a copy of your letter to CBN informing them you will be taking legal actions against the bank.

Anyone knows the penalty that awaits a costumer who fails/can't pay back a loan from Access Bank at the stipulated time. But he will pay when he has money.

Years ago, Access bank made me stand under the rain to open an account with them and after three months, the account wasn't created. Since then, I crossed my heart never to use the bank again.

I couldn't receive my salary for three months as a result of this. It was later that the company asked us to create account with Union Bank

You are careless, why hurriedly want to close account when you can just leave it without servicing it yet you use same account for expected transaction

Access bank is a very useless bank.
They ve Zero Customer care relationship and this boils down to our regulatory bodies and our Country.

Access Bank is currently doing something similar to one of my uncles.

His Phone and oda valuables were stolen after working hrs and what he cld only do was to go to the police station to report that evening and he went to d bank d following morning just 4 a regular complaint.

Getting to d bank the following morning was when he discovered money in his acct was trfd and d perpetrators also took pay day loan of almost 100k from his' acct- how dey were able to do this easily still baffles me.

The issue now is from the bank stmt one can't really tell the recipients bank just oname of the recipient appears on the stmt.

Since last year Nov my uncle has written mails and letters to Access bank to fortify him with the banks name and further details to aid police investigation but they ve just been turning him up and down.

First they said they can't give the bank name that it would be sent to police and till date they haven't.

And from there lackadaisical attitude in the UCH branch and a kinda mockery look like just forget about it u can't get ur money back. Cos the lay day loan plus interest was deducted immediately from his Nov salary whilst the bank themselves fails to carry out investigation, they ve also failed to help my uncle get justice by providing him with informations.

My advice to anyone using Acces bank as there regular bank protect ur bank acct jealously becos if any unfortunate happens Access bank is the last bank to go for any help.

Cos what a normal bank shld do is to also investigate the issue cos it whows how porus there system is.
Anyone that has access to ur mobile no. regd with d bank can apply for payday loan trf it and get away with it..

ACCESS BANK IS A USELESS BANK AND THEY ALSO AID Fraudsters IN ROBBING You.

I just came across this video now and now I understand how they were able to trf his' money.

Many people make this mistake, why close the account when you can withdraw your money and leave them to do whatever they want with the account... My access account still send me monthly statement of account of #0 balance.. UBA, I opened during camp I never put #0.01 for the account but we move cos one day it could be useful.. You were the cause, closing an account you used for something that important even if you lose hope, it should have been left unused for the fact that it has been used to run a government or official parole, you never thought of next time..
Note: All banks have their own issues and it's same across board but it all depends on which problem you have with the bank, My best bank na another person worst bank and vice versa..

Lolz, Access bank of all banks.

I have had issues with them two times before, they are not the kind of people to be civil with. Go to that bank and cause a scene, their manager will call you into the inner room and solve your problem for you. That was how I won my two cases with them.

It depends on duration of the loan. If your repayments is 3 months, and you failed to pay back at due date, you will be giving a grace period of another 3/4 months to pay back. If you still fail, they will redistribute your loan and extend it for long period( 1 year). Mind you, during this period of extension, you won't be able to secure loan in any CBN approved loan company or bank in Nigeria until you pay off. Even after this, your credit scores must have been seriously affected that no serious lenders will be willing to give you fast loan.

For instance, if your loan is #100k, and you are to be paying back let say 40k every month for 3 months, if you fail to pay as explained above, they will redistribute your loan and share it into 12. That is, you will be paying 10k every month for 1 year.

That is not true, your loan provider don't have such authority or power. They cant stop you from using other bank accounts, the only thing they can do is to report you to credit bureau, and that is after they must have notice you had finally absconded with the loan giving to you. The "credit beareau " can flag your BVN to recover the loan.

What then happens after the loan is repaid despite defaulting on the right time to pay.

Could the account be used henceforth without issues

Yes, jyiu can use your account without any issue, just that it could take you long period of time to get another loan.
