Hi guys, I currently have a little above 5M in naira idle and I would want to put it into a business/trade. Something with good yield and room for expansion. Basically something I can grow. I don't want to invest it in bit coin/crypto or mutual funds ( i already have investment in those for easy liquidation).
every idea is welcome, thanks.

Location matters. Before investing in any business check the location and know the type of business to delve into. Building materials is bae if you have a trusted person that will put you through.

Cement
Cement business is very lucrative around fast developing areas with 5m you can become a distributor giving to retailers and stocking your own warehouse/shop having an open vehicle for delivery is an added advantage.

Fashion and design
Rent a place, buy machine and employ experienced hands both male and female. You pay based on what they sew then market it via social media. Once you have those that are professional you're in for turn up. ( Some people are professionals but can't afford rent and costly machine so...

Farm
You see piggery farm? My brother na oil well for Naija.
So many business idea but don't forget to do your SWOT analysis wella
Best of luck as you keep it legit

Do have Flair for the Appliances Industry? You can apply as part of the financial for major electronic dealers and have access to profit sharing monthly while your Capital is intact and you could have documented agreement signed for an investment period of 12months or 2 year as the case may be.

The risk is very little and your funds works for you.

If you have interest in this you may DM me .

Depends on your location, invest in scrap metal supply to metal recycling companies. The expected ROI is between 10%-30% monthly depends on availability and prevailing purchase price. You can contact me further for more details. 08062862556

If you have N5m and come to Nairaland for business ideas, I will take it that you are not serious because what works for A may not work for B.

Sit down and think about your interests or business opportunities around you, put in the work to learn and go from there. There is no such thing like a business you will put X amount to make Y amount. Every business has room for growth and good yield if you apply the right equation. The equation is why A grows while B fails. You are not even giving yourself a room for failure which is very likely.

Why not expand on whatever gave you the N5m in the first place.

I already mentioned somewhere I am a career person.

If the cash is still available, by first to second week of April come to South south use the money to buy palm oil keep it till July/August. By then you must have got a good business idea of what to invest the money. By then it will no longer be 5m, at least, it must have grown by minimum of 10 percent.

if you can take my little advice sire.
I got 2m last month(pension entitlement of my late mom).

I got one acre of land at osogbo, capital of osun which happens to be 8plot of land for 1m.
The remaining 1m I got another one plot in another area, presently am on it,building two room and parlour at the back end of the land, so I can live in one and also rent the other.
its presently on,and the money took it to roofing level, though I have no money to roof it yet ,but am happy I took the best decision ever.
No business will fetch you good profit now that the economy is down.
if you can get an honest person you can also get acres as future investment and build on other for rent.
cheers and God bless.

2 cool rides (Hyundai or Kia) for uber and bolt on hire purchase for twice the amount you bought each. Collect 30,000 each per week till driver fully pays off.

Let's say 1.5 each, driver to pay 2.5 each after 18 months. (30k per week till they buy them off)
this sounds good, I understand I would need to involve a lawyer which is okay by me.
are u experienced in this trade and how else can one ensure the drivers turn up as agreed.

Take a studio apartment on lease. 20 years lease is 2.5m around Unilag. Rent it out at 400k per anuum. Steady income with no stress.

If you take 2 rooms on lease you will be making 800k annually for the next 20years. That is exclusive of the caution fee and agreement you will collect on every new tenant

How does this work? What are the intricacies?
Re: Business Ideas For A 5 Million Naira Capital by Nobody: 10:12pm On Mar 12, 2021
Apple business is the way.

Apple fruits grows is South Africa in large quantity.

A 40ft container houses about 1176 cartons of apple.

You earn about 1.5m to 2m on a container within 30days of it's arrival from south africa
