FGN Special Public Work Programme: Has Anyone Been Paid?

It's been two months and few days since the Federal Government of Nigeria early this year launched the Special Public Work (SPW) programme which seeks to create temporarily employment for 774,000 Nigerian youth. Since then nothing has been heard concerning the programme.
The question is has any enrollee been paid?
. FG na scam

. Why are you badmouthing what you want to benefit from? Why don’t you leave those who have nothing to benefit from the scheme?
I’m well aware that in my LG almost all the 1000 slots had been filled!
Registrations are almost complete.
No nepotism! Only those who did not want to benefit refused to join when they were calling for names. Though 1000 is still not the whole population of an LG but I’m sure it will go a long way. For those who want to know more about the scheme why not contact the NDE in your locality?

The problem of people on electronic social spaces na how they rush to make a point without fully understanding statement.
I don't see how any of my statement badmouthed the FG or NDE on their scheme. I only used the word “eye service” workers because they were quickly called to do the eye service work upon hearing delegates were in the state for inspection.

Oga, it was only to service their eyes, nothing more. That's why it's eye service.

Which one is "have they been paid?"

They were supposed to cut grass, desilt gutters and other community work, I have not seen any activity like that in my community

Op, so u mean after collecting your monthly salary u'll come online to show it?
My wife enrolled for the job programme and her name was shortlisted. Up till this moment, she's yet to hear from them. So, is the programme still in progress or have they diverted the money? That's the essence of the post.

I just listened to the radio now that Festus keyamo has given the directive that banks should start paying them.

You are absolutely right. In Osun state, they have been grouped community by community and their implements had arrived for distribution. Now this morning, I just heard that the instruction is out for the banks to start the payment.
