Thank you for this post. The Soviet Union broke up peacefully without name calling and war, hindustan broke up peacefully and the components are very happy with each other. Ethiopia and Eritrea are now separate countries with out issues, Singapore and Malaysia separated peacefully and are both doing great. Why is Nigeria having night mares about separation yet not able to guarantee an egalitarian society and some folks who knows how flawed the elections are are telling me to wait until 2023 to vote out a government that rigs election with impunity. If so, how would you explain Brexit? FYI, the UK was well integrated into the EU economy before Brexit, and millions of Europeans live and work in the UK, and vice versa for British citizens. But there is no single chant of war at the mention of Brexit and now after they have left, not a single soul was lost, or property is gone. How will you explain that? Because the Colonial Office in London didn't want to waste British taxpayers money on a fruitless enterprise, but they still wanted to hold on to the North because they didn't want it to fall into the hands of the French.
