Bribe bribe during training.

Okay make I rest my case no one is praying bad for them but I was just trying to say how bad the country has become and that route was too risky to take even with security around them.

This whole waterway traveling is sooo messy and dangerous considering all that can happen that it shouldn't be tried again. This is what happens when you don't have a tough captain. If it was when Stephen Keshi was the captain of super eagles or even Sunday Oliseh, this won't happen. Not a single jet to fly these guys to Cotonou in less than an hour? What if there was a pirate attack or mishap? Imagine the public relations nightmare that would have been for this seemingly shameless country? And how is it that an institution as big as the FA of a country like Nigeria is always complaining of funds, inspite of all the business opportunities available for the marketing department? This is what happens when you have rectangular pegs in horizontal holes..

Erseekooze mi sah. But what is a horizontal hole?

The boat itself could have been a lot more comfortable and not that hot tugboat! The dirty environment at the port is alarmingly unhigienic... Standards were lacking at every point and I know smaller nations in Africa that could have prepared their national team travels a whole lot better..
The dirty environment in Port Novo and not Lagos...visit Lagos jetty terminals and see beauty.

Reason for this option is that taking a flight will take about 15mins, which is almost like the plane taking off and landing immediately. This is technically risky, hence the ferry option.

If them loose the match, as dem dey comeback make the ship captain just pour all of them inside water
Lol, it's actually something to be proud of. I don't know the reason for this but it I were the players I will choose this over and over again. They most times enter plane which made this another form of cruise on it own. I know it might pose more risk than the air transport, but abeg it's nothing to be ashamed of.

You guys are the reason why mediocrity thrives in Nigeria! Nobody asks about the reason why the fa that's supposed to be a money making machine is always shirt of funds year in year out...How safe was that journey? Was the marine police going to stop the ocean from swallowing them if that rickety boat packs up midway?

The boat was not Ricky grin grin haba Moreso, every means of transportation have associated risks....and the rate of survival in water accident is higher than that of flight.

This is majorly an opportunity for Lagos state government to showcase and promote their water transport system.

Let's take the good side of this that outweighs the negatives.

Soar Eagles...Soar!!!

From every indication the players had a good time and every security measure was put in place. The sea route looked like the best alternative from Lagos to Benin considering we in the middle of an epidemic.

Just so you know the Zambian national team lost an entire team to a flight disaster not to mention kidnappers and hijackers are part of the aviation industry. Look at the good side of things for once.

Asides this, the logistics of flying the players will take about 7hrs in total....

2hrs from hotel on Island to Airport at Ikeja, 1-2hrs for airport protocols and check-in...1-2 hours for arrival and clearance at Benin Republic airport ,..and add CoVID19 test too...come add moving from the airport to their hotel...

Whereas, waterways option is about 1 and half hours. it takes 10min drive from their hotel to water terminal

stop defending mediocrity and poverty mentality especially when it concerns other people who are not your relatives..

Most of them were genuinely terrified... Not just balogun. Mainly the ones that were born and raised abroad who are now constituting the majority of the squad under Rohr. It's understandable! The whole preparation is so mediocre, most members of that squad can individually do better.. If I'm a member of that team, I won't join that boat. Pinnick has to explain what happened to the money for transportation

Truth is you are ignorant and bitter at same time.

Don't talk for talking sake. Did they tell you that they used waterways because there is no jet to take them to Benin?

The choice of waterways was made so as to use the popular brand of super Eagles to boost the waterways transportation campaign of Lagos stake.

You are sure they never complained?
And from the comfort of your living room, you are also so sure that it was all "fun" for those seemingly worried folks?
Even with the scary faces?
You're doing well..
And you sit in the discomfort of your room to complain on their behalf, abi! Well done. One packet of sachet water for you so that you can complain more.
