The plane shown in the video seems to explode on it's own not necessarily as a result of combat fire and I don't think anything would survive with that ball of fire. The plane number at the rudder is quiet disturbing, if NAF is claiming that is not their plane are they suggesting Boko Haram have been downing planes we are not aware of. I think there should be a back door between the group and government that we are fighting doesn't mean we shouldn't be talking to each other, if the pilots are alive biko let negotiate, if they are dead send their bodies home.
NAF sending one plane that has no aircraft anti missile defense system is something to questionable. You are dealing with a group funded by different vested interest.

My take is this is BH have long been preparing for such encounters, all they required was shoot at the direction of the jet resulting in a luck hit.

Thats why I said at this point I have little interest in arguing with a man who displays little knowledge of jets or the type of technology required to down them.

Even the Me262 arguably one of the first military jets (aside from the British Gloster Meteor) was so fast, the only way to destroy it during WW2 (over 70 years ago) was when it was on the ground or either taking off or landing..

So the idea of a modern jet which is even faster and more advanced being downed by small arms fire is even more ridiculous to be honest.

Bro I just watched that video properly and indeed it was BH led by Shekau who brought down that jet. That jet was brought down with a FIM-92 Stinger. The FIM-92 Stinger is a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) that operates as an infrared homing surface-to-air missile (SAM).

I hope you all know what that means. Boko haram just upped their game! No one is safe. No plane flying over that route is safe!
