No management awareness on any level. Am sure all the traditional rulers got their salaries and new cars without doing much. I didn't forget about all the people that will have to sign the papers too; from the top guy to the disbursement person. |

Restructure Nigeria to give states financial liberty to source for their income. This is the spur for creativity and the only guarantee for security as the right people, technocrats will be elected into office and ensure their localities are safe and fertile for business thoroughly devoid of the poverty inducing extremism Kano is slowly turning out. The whole of Arabia was once hostile to foreigners as they jealously guarded their culture until they hit a sudden epiphany, a future life without oil riches and over the past three decades they have vigorously opened up, gradually rolling back the cozy handshakes between church and state and embracing aliens of diverse cultures. Even Saudi Arabia is evolving into two distinct nations, one to continue to be the cradle of the great faith while the other must get to work to secure the future prosperity of the kingdom just as the Vatican separated itself from mainstay Italy many centuries ago. It is clear no one can survive and thrive without interactions and the government and the people of Kano must come to terms with this fact sooner than later before they fall far behind neighbouring states more open and more liberal. It is clear that the structure we operate presently that gives too much leverage to ideologues is unsustainable. |
