Lol cheesy.
You know dem frustrated wailers so well.
They are here already wailing on our post, crying about resources from the south.
Na dem be dat. grin cheesy wink

If that is the way your brain interpreted the word 'nice that we typed, unfortunately we cannot help you Mr resources form the south'.
Oshisko. cheesy

For once in your life, can you drop your sentiments aside and use your common sense. Nigeria is sinking to the worst ever and you are bringing tribe to this thread. Are you all right man ow whatever gender you identify with. The first thing I did when I saw Nnpc is building this gas plant in bornu, I went to check Kyari’s state of origin and I wasn’t surprised. Start using your brain. This is becoming very pathetic of you. Do you use this sentiments to run a business as well? Please have a meditation and you will realized you have been on the wrong part defending this government.

The argument by many people here needs to be tested. There are currently many projects cited in the South like refineries, major gas fired power plants, petrochemical companies, seaports, massive LNG plants, numerous factories, major gas pipelines, depots, fertiliser companies, even several of Dangote's industries.

The North is largely underdeveloped in comparison with the South. To unleash our economic potential, the North has to be industrialised to an extent that it can wean itself off dependency on handouts. The country has gas in abundance, both from the rich Niger Delta or from newly discovered oil and gas fields in the North. Utilising gas for power is much cheaper and more sensible than solar or wind which are more expensive to generate and can't be anywhere near the same scale.

Rather than keep reading meanings to such moves, citizens should embrace it and ensure it benefits our people. The more regions of the country gets developed, the better for all. Attacks by militants on Southern infrastructure did not mean we shouldn't continue building them.

Finally, Mele Kyari the GMD NNPC is from Borno State so that would have weighed heavily towards citing the gas plant in Maiduguri. Afterall, this is Nigeria where some of the decisions get driven by such considerations.

Locating a large gas power plant in Maiduguri is stupid and will not unleash the economic potential of the Northeast, a region that is facing turmoil due to irresponsible politicians, religious and tribal rulers

Firstly, the reliability of building a gas pipeline from the Niger Delta through Eastern Nigeria to the North -East is questionable, even Lagos Egbin gas power stations does not have reliable gas from the Niger Delta.

Secondly, the risk of depending on the Niger-Delta makes no sense, the Niger Delta militant can easily shut down the entire programme.

Thirdly, the cost of constructing a gas pipeline from the South to the North-East will cost the best part of $3-4 billion. If the gas pipeline is to connect to the AKK gas pipeline to Kaduna it will still be expensive and prone to disgruntled attacks from the South.

The North-East should focus on Hydro and Solar Energy, for now, it's much more economical and will suit their economical development at this stage.

Where will the gas be coming from? This administration is plain stupid. The insane amount of money it will cost to lay pipe from South to far North will be enough to establish very big solar system in same North and it will forever solve their power issues.

The the South can use gas from oil rigs that are flared.
.
Who advises these people

You don't even need to get worked up or even worried cos it can't see the light of day.
They could only use it to embezzlement some money like they did for prospecting for oil in the State
