The Northerns has a say when it comes to Federal level.
The Northerns has the Political powers, Human resources & the Population & they are using it to their advance.
If Tinubu like be romancing the North,if they are not willing to give him the presidency,he will fail, not until the Northerns agree to let him seat in that presidential sit. Late MKO comes to mind.
You see the Northerns are not party Obsess, they are very United, they kwn what they are doing, they kwn what they want,& how to achieve it, they speak, listen & act in one voice. They are just using party politics to cover up, unlike the Southerners that plays politics of hate, tribalism & dis-unity.
For example, if the North, South,West & East hold a meeting now & ask each region to present a presidential candidate to be Nigeria next president. Right at that meeting, the North will present their flag bearer for the president & they will all agree on that person full stop.
The West & South will hold their meeting to present their own candidate.
But as for the East in 72 hrs they are yet to arrive at a concensor candidate & if they do, they will still been fighting the person internally by digging up his past personal & political mess.
Lastly will I say the Northerns are politically greedy or power drunk? I believe because they kwn their region is poor & they will suffer if they loss their political power & realivance. For example if the Nigeria state of today, the Northerns only occupied 10% politically, human resources they kwn what fate will befall them, that is their fear for still holding onto power.

That shows he was poor in governance compared to his predecessors. Jonathan did not do better than yaradua or Obasanjo hence the collaborative mass protests, it was a decline. Sadly Buhari followed same trail and worse.

Anything else is just a convenient excuse.

Jonathan refused to do 3 simple things that would have changed the dynamics and saved his government now we are here.
