Who will loose??

Good question. The strike is dead in arrival

One about 75% of driver are driving for another person meaning that they are obligated to make daily returns

Even the ones that are owner managers are under some kind of lease arrangement

Most of the driver carry off line rides which typically form about 45% of their rides and this is done using Uber/Bolt resources. These Fintechs know this and have factored this loss of income into the pricing so its a simple case of pickin wey say him mama no go sleep, himself no go take eye see sleep.

The same striking drivers will still carry offline passengers from next week.

My own is let the companies reduce their commissions. Naa driver de face d whole hard work while they’re in the office enjoying A/c
What’s so wrong in profiling the riders that makes request?

Something needs to be done ( a balance)

Cool but what has Alausa got to do with the demands? Government is not responsible for the fares and rider profiling.
I didn't see on the agenda where marching to uber and bolt offices is mentioned

Misplaced priority o.. or just maybe they want Sanwo to announce and hand them an executive order implementing their increased fare rates.

so you don't even know why they're about to go on strike. Na wa o.

They're saying the Tfare been charged by Uber/bolt is too cheap and should be reviewed upwards so that their own money can also increase.

I didn't know for sure but ofcourse what else would it be. So how is this not an opportunity for a new entrant. Give them more simple. The only way start ups happen is to propose and deliver better value for partners( in this case drivers), sacrifice as platform provider, let them have more then charge them to deliver better service to people using the service. U don't have to start operating on the same profitability level as uber/bolt from day one. Bolt sacrificed a lot to be able to enter too. It's business, different business decision/approach at different point in the life cycle of a business. The time to make more will come, for now get customers, build credibility n survive.

See some people dey beg make dem no go strike because e go affect their own finance...

This is where Nigerians problem dey.

We lack one voice in fighting...

Instead make dem support d notion, dem dey beg make strike no happen.

This is why this country dey go backwards, cos when it's time to fight for what's of beneficial to the citizens, some go back out and start condemning the movement.

Something wey go benefit dem oooh.

We can place these demands before them(App providers):-.
1. Base fare increase to N600
2. Per kilometer.- N80.
3. Per minute. - N15
4. Minimum fare should be 1k.
5. Riders should be properly profile
6. Cancellation fare should be reintroduce.
7. Insurance package for drivers
8. End of the year package for drivers
9. Commission to be reduce to 10%

These won't work sir, the only way it can work is that if the car belongs to you all the particular of the car are in your name, but giving it out to one Hungary driver on the street won't solved the matter.

Those drivers lack common sense

They think running a company is the same with driving to Kaduna. The only experience i agree they have is driving.

Then they believe because i can drive to Kaduna successfully, i can run a company successfully.

One bingo called Deedee44 claim drivers are feeding me, because they are driving for me.

Can you say bank workers are feeding bank owner

Apart from the art of driving there many things attributed to driving, the cost of maintainace, stress of driving, fueling of the car, cost of data, destinations.
