Disturbing the peace and a peaceful protest do not correlate.

The government has made it clear that it is opposed to any form of protest. Hence, their arrest.

Protest is not a crime.

Please sue the government. It is illegal to falsely arrest you.

That it's unconstitutional doesn't necessarily make it a crime.

It only means that it is not in the constitution.

Is bleeping your girlfriend constitutional?

Does it make you a criminal?

Good!

They should be made to quickly face the court of law. And if found guilty, should be executed ASAP

Nigeria truly doesn’t deserve the Igbo people.

God willing we will have Biafra very soon and create our paradise on earth.

Finally is about to go down.
West contributed to this rubbish happening in DA country. They were warned about this calamity of govt but bcs of their selfish interest they said that they are sophisticated.
Look at the situation in the country now, u can't protest peacefully again, no more freedom of speech. Let's not even talk about the economy bcs that one is suicidal.
I remember when KANU (not his fan) was shouting it about this govt but West felt that is not their business but I believe now is their business.

Funny Yorubas are not even interested in this news about their people but open the same for IPOB or Biafra, and see them enter. Something is wrong somewhere with these people!
The same thing wrong with yeebos for not being able to face their matter.

That is what IPOB suffered many many years ago and nothing new about it.

Reach out to you political elites and hope they were carried along from on set?

Tell me truth, are you really happy as a citizen of Federal republic of Nigeria?

budaatum:

It's at least unconstitutional according to Chapter 1 Part 1 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

2. (1) Nigeria is one indivisible and indissoluble sovereign state to be known by the name of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If only those boko haram would bloody stand still so they could be gone after.

There's trouble in Chad after their president died and Chadians are not happy his son was put in his place so expect more boko haram trouble sadly as Chad pulls its forces from chasing after boko haram to deal with the people agitating for democracy.

Why are you so tribalistic, or are you one of the Fulani agents?

Anybody who has been on nairaland for a while should have discovered that many of those monicas pretending to be Yoruba vs Igbo are impostors. Except you are actually one of them as I suspect.

An average Yoruba is in support of the Igbo. I believe an average Igbo who has lived in the Southwest before will also support the Yorubas, knowing that we are both friendly and compatible tribes, more so in these times when we need to form alliance and not allow the kind of division this person is promoting.

Those trying to sow the seed of discord should try harder, because they have failed this time.
Yoruba and Igbo have finally unite to get their freedom from this shit hole of a country. The abokis are having heart attack already because they know that their parasitic self is about to lose out. Wether they like it or not, Biafra and Yoruba Nation is here!

Who said it is a crime?? It has a legal process and can be demanded for based on that process. People have rights and it is one of them. U don’t arrest people who agitate for succession, u discuss with them. That’s what sane climes do.

This is democracy or military rule.

I don't think what you do with your girlfriend has anything to do with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but disturbing the peace is a crime, which is likely why the people were arrested. They can go sue for false arrest since false arrest is at least unconstitutional and illegal in Nigeria.
Nigeria is a signatory to UN Charter on human rights including the right to self determination.
