The Abia State government says the State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has killed " Mammy Water" which for years has made it difficult to carry out repairs in some roads in Abia, especially the Faulks Road.

In his welcome address to the Nigerian Editors Association in Abia State, Information Commissioner John Okiyi Kalu, while praising the governor for fulfilling the promises he made to the Abia State people after the sixth year of his rule, said Abia is now one of the most secured places and undoubtedly set an example in the development of government infrastructure.

Drawing a picture of the deteriorating infrastructure in Abia before Okpeazu' s appearance in 2015, Mr. Kalu said Aba was not moving at the same time due to poor road conditions.

Commenting on the Faulks Road in Aba, which is known for giving various officials ' heads' for repairs, Kalu said, " Before the inauguration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in 2015, it was believed that " mammy water" is famous for the " Ukwu Mango" area on Faulks Road (Ariaria), and " river" Ama Ikonne.

The road was pronounced not repairable due to allegations made by some people about " mammy water" . Today, the benevolent Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, killed the " Mammy Water" on the street. The road has been repaired.

The commissioner pointed out that on May 29, 2015, there was not a single route to Aba that was good, saying, " You will not find a good route to Aba. Traders we leaving, including and local entrepreneurs like the Bank of Nigeria.

Today, the business has returned to Aba, and business operations have resumed as a result of Ikpeazu' s work in the city. And not just Aba, not a single area in Abia Ikpeazu was not affected by the project. "

Speaking on the insecurity in the country, Kalu said because the governor was involved in security, the state was now one of the safest. He said, " When we see what is happening, we should take immediate action by setting limits on travel within hours.

This helped us, and today, Abia is one of the safest places in the world. Our people trust in their King, and they listen when he speaks to them. The government is working day and night to ensure that the people of Abia continue to live in peace.

Kalu also described in his speech how Ikpeazu presented his fifth plan to the people of Abia, including the Kinetic Abia industrial project, which ensured that to open the state through industrial development, the Aba- Port Harcourt must be completed by the end of this administration.
