CSTRR:

The problem with loyalty to the president is that he can go against the Constitution.
Even though he was elected, he has a mind of his own.

The military is not supposed to be loyal to a president that will not follow the Constitution.

I agree bt same way the people can go against the constitution. Do u know that? The only difference is the people don’t control the military bt the president does. The constitution guides everybody. So it’s tricky saying the military should be loyal to the people in certain situations or the president same way.

I see evil flood carry people away
I see them take over the land and the powers that be supporting and been on their side.
Please let us pray for the christians in Nigeria.
Ask God to arise and fight for the christians in Nigeria.
Please if you are a true Christian pray don't igore this.

Exactly, that Edward clark is a big dunce,a military that cannot solve insurgency wants to control a country ....to those semi- illiterate nairalanders supporting military take over,i say to you...you are big big FOOLS!!!

Edward is a man that's full of intelligent, He is old enough to be your grandfather and u are here talking nonsense about a SAN that's knws and understand everything in Nigeria than ur entire lineage. First of all, the issue of insecurity in Nigeria is lack of political will not because military can't crush or tackle the enemy. Av watched a lot of programs where the family of abductee av located the location of the abductors and call the Governor even the police commissioner of the state and nothing was done until they pay Ransom, that's to tell u there is more to this insecurity than wat u will ever think which am sure it can never see the light of the day if it's under military regime, we knw wat Abacha said about terrorism. What an elder man project while sitting down u may not see it even if u climb a mountain. This is not the first time I listen to Edward and he's always island of intelligent but most of u dunce on this forum don't even watch program that's mainly projected for national affairs apart from reading half-baked news on Nairaland.

always pessimist.... Wat issue do u have with being united ?

Countries that have divided wat did day gain how long did it take dem to gain sustainability and how many actually got that?

Things are bad I agree but I'm sure u were among those that voted buhari...

Nigeria is better united than divided... We just need to renegotiate the terms

I don't know if you are a northerner, if yes, I would understand your point and stance. But if you are a southerner saying this, then you need to go do more research about how your beloved Nigeria was formed.

Someone like you would like to demand respect from the whites; seriously? When it was a white foreigner that gathered different nationalities together and named them Nigerians. The name didn't even come from any of the languages residing in the country.

When the amalgamation came in 1914, how many indigenous people were in the know of what was happening? So you didn't know that the vast innocent unsuspecting illiterate people were gathered like animals being reared in a forest against their will.

You as a person may not know that 28 individuals signed the amalgamation in which 22 are white foreigners, then 3 northern elites (borno, Kano and sokoto) while we also have one yoruba king and a lawyer, then a Calabar elite king or so.

Now, is this right? Where is the respect to the indigenes? They left seeing that southerners are intelligent and for us not to be able to compete with them in future, they gave leadership to the north who sees it as their right.

Someone like you may not know that till today, Nigeria pays a certain percent in range of millions of dollars if not billion to the UK yearly, for what?

Someone like you may not know that the UK government are in connivance with our government to stop the agitation for Biafra and the Yoruba nation; why? If not that they are benefitting from the unholy marriage they instituted about a hundred years plus ago.

The Igbo population alone is more than the Scandinavian countries altogether and they are doing well as the happiest countries having different national boundaries despite having cultural and historical ties together.

But Yorubas, Igbos and hausa fulanis who don't have ties are those you want to be together in a quagmire and you're talking about development.

That your development is a pipe dream especially with the 1999 constitution. The meaning is that you will always run to overseas to see the development you expect in a pseudo country called Nigeria.

This right here is one of the reasons we have a big problem in this country.

Now you're praising Abba Kyari. You can't see that it was his actions that led us to being where we are today.

Of course things will be worse I'm Nigeria tomorrow than it is today if the current trajectory is continued upon.

Same mentality those praising Jonathan have.

Oh, Jonathan was so wonderful.

They can't see that if Jonathan had done the needful, Boko Haram would have been defeated, the military would have been stronger and armed bandits and Fulani terrorists won't be holding the country to ransome.

We shouldn't need to explain these things to y'all. Come on!

You never see anything...wait until you start hearing "Buhari was a good President" after 2023.

However sad and painful it is to think up, this is unfortunately the story of what Nigeria is.

History is replete with this fact.....the present has always been worse than the former.

It is okay. When iron touches iron, one would bend. Meanwhile, prepare, because something is coming.

When that which is coming is done, you can go and make your tent with those named by Flora Shaw!

What a country.

it gets me worried that our leaders are fools. Who talks about a coup when there is a constitution for handling such matters as removing an incompetent and deleterious leader?
See it this way, the Constitution having been imprisoned, shackled and manacled by the lame duck of a National Assembly who have failed, omitted, neglected and or refused to impeach the deleterious Buhari there arises the necessity to do the needful before the roof caves in on us all. God forbid! I suppose you got my drift!
