Go and defrock him na, you think the church is headed by your type, right?

Even Bishops can be rejected by the members or laicized/defrocked or transferred by the church if situation requires it.

A defrocked priest is still a priest, just that he is free of the rights and responsibilities of the position.
They are not booted out like you posited, rather they are allowed to choose whether to stay or leave.

FYI, some priest on their own request to be laicized/defrocked. And most if not all of the cases of forced defrocking are related to sexual cases and not this kind of case.
