SweetiliciousD: post=101481111]Don't mind them, you can't see them attack their useless leaders but if na for southeast them go carry for head, it's certain Chinese will take over most of Lagos infastructures because of huge debt both from state and FG, Lakki deep sea port is being funded by China, the rail line is also China loan and so many others.[/quote] China is NOT funding the Lagos Light Rail... If it was, it would’ve already been completed, but Lagos prefers to self-fund it, which is the more prudent option. The debt on the Lekki Port is NOT Lagos government’s debt... It’s the corporate debt of Lekki Worldwide of which Lagos is a MINORITY shareholder (Tolaram Group is the majority holder). Meanwhile, having the “largest” debt is a meaningless assertion, without CONTEXT.... As a percentage of both GDP and revenue, Lagos’ debt is very sustainable (and relatively minuscule). Debt, by itself, is NOT bad. Using debt capital to invest in infrastructure is SOUND policy... Not to compare apples with oranges, but it bears noting that the US is the world’s most indebted nation. > 10 Likes 2 Shares |

All of you above attacking the Anambra airport are simply jealous. It's a great feat from a state government by single handedly executed it. Forget all those beautiful pictures you all post about Bis terminal and schools, what economic values does it have for the state? Whether people around the state will use or not doesn't matter but I'll tell you that Anambra being the business hub of South East will surely thrive in IGR which the state has been doing very well. For the person that asked how many billionaires in Anambra, just ask, you'll be schooled and don't just assume. Anambra as one of the smallest states is doing greater things more that Kano and other larger states mentioned here Leave Anambra airport alone. We love it like that. Focus on your own state 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Guyman02: For the avoidance of any doubt, I personally have NOTHING against Anambra or its airport (the more, the merrier).... Nonetheless. with all due respect, it is rather obtuse to mock using debt capital to finance critical infrastructure like a commuter rail system or Nigeria’s first (and only) deep sea port. These sorts of infrastructure are the catalyst towards a more PRODUCTIVE economy. > 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is a very good one from Anambra state. At least we can immediately see the value This will bring. Hopefully it is run smoothly to ensure optimal service delivery......Hopefully other states take note and adjust accordingly. By accordingly I don't mean building airports, but building infrastructures to harness the potentials of the state with a clear focus on benefits. 9 Likes |

It seems the percentage of wicked people are more than the good people in this our society. Just take a look at this thread and see the mindset of backward people who are envious of the airport at Anambra state. Why can't they talk to their governors to provide something for them? Black Africans really need to outgrow this village people mentality of not being happy for neighbors. In their small mind they don't know the airport might also benefit them too in terms of businesses etc. Please to the envious ones leave the airport like that there is room for upgrades in the future. It's not a static building, things will always get better. Lastly, it seems there is a calculated attempt to attack the south eastern region interest daily by some envious mischievous elements. MI6Surveillance: This is the problem with us, we should look beyond just like Umahi is doing in Ebonyi state... By the time Ebonyi is done, we won't have the guts to call them Nwaba.... I don't know if you have seen the Anambra airport road, the area is more of a virgin, why not give a standard 6 lane road and flyover where necessary |

post=101477666:Never mind those haters bro. They want to compare a project built on 6plots of land with the one on hecters of land. Economic importance nko? No matter how small it's, the airport will reduce Lagos State Igr while that of Anambra'll multiply. Don't discuss about the beautification but the economic importance. Aregbesola used mouth to build one in osun, Ibadan's own is not upgraded to international while the one in my state(Kwara) is only called international because its airlift pilgrims to Saudi Arabia yearly. When hajj don close, na Lagos and Abuja remain. I love Igbos spirit. Kudos to Obiano 14 Likes 1 Share |
