SmartyPants: Yes, she was clearly holding onto him but violently attacking someone who is merely holding on to your shirt is hardly admissible as self defense. Self defense against what? A hold? Would he hit his mother like that if she held on to him? Would you be saying all these if the lady was your mum? Ok, let's not even play the victim, would you be proud of that guy if he was your son? Sir, even a killer could get away with murder provided you know which part of the law to quote but then we all know what is morally right. There might be actions that led to certain reactions but these reactions aren't always justified by those actions. Assuming he held onto the lady's hands and struggled to pull them off his shirt, we wouldn't be here discussing this cause that would have been an equitable reaction but he was hitting her. And you called that "doing his best to get free"? That's a very cold thing to say and only someone who's desperate to vindicate the man would describe what we just watched as that. You can stick with the law but this, right here, isn't morally right. And I'd be shocked if you don't see that. As for your question, I said she was holding him in such a manner cause that's what I saw. She wasn't hitting him, was she? And if you had read my response a bit more carefully, you'd see where I wrote "a woman who appears old enough to be his mother". The key word being "appears" which indicates I don't know if she is or not. I never assumed her age nor added anything to the story other than what I saw. I do not know what happened before the lady held on to him (though it's unlikely that would be her first move) but judging from the part I saw in that video, that man was extremely violent and I'm almost certain those close to him would be disappointed. |

SmartyPants: You see I don't like throwing insults while debating or discussing because I try as much to be civil but if I pushed to the wall, I am a master in it. So, pls don't push me. About the woman not falling, you think all women are that soft? She may not have the power that matches a man's but she won't give up easily. That's the sense in that action of hers you saw. Insisting the punches didn't land on her is the most senseless comment I read on this page. Gdnight bro. 1 Like |

Overdooo dey worry her and for the kid , I hope all you are trying to do is to let go of yourself from her grab else your gone from the school. |

WoundedLamb: I have never said he was morally right. But who are we to judge morals? I might not react the way he did, but I may not rush to condemn him either. Was she right to hold on to him? Was he wrong to react violently? Is one wrong more wrong or less so? Even if such standards exist, can we arrive at a conclusion from the video alone? Anyway, i suppose we can agree to disagree. |

RMoneyInTheBank: They watched the video, but that's just how the society is right now. It's so sad that the boy will be discipline badly. The guy was hitting her hand to break free. She wouldn't be able to stand if he was actually punching her on the face or body. Now, if the case was reversed and it was a male lecturer holding a female student like this and she was hitting his hand to break, the outrage against the lecturer would be overwhelming. And celebrities and everybody would be calling for his head. It's getting difficult to be boy, man, male these days. The odds are against you and situations involving male vs female are turned against you. The prejudice is surreal. 3 Likes |

You see how a woman can provoke and make you lose your temper. Why did she assault him, a grown man. Is she her mother? There are better ways to deal with a stubborn or arrogant student, if you ask me. |

This is the pity and sorry state of the Private school products, whom the owners and administrator are concern with only school fees. Teachers who will correct them and mount their excesses in manner becomes a victim of hatred and sack. I stand to be corrected, this student in question is a product of the private secondary school and much be expelled as a lesson for others like him. |

SmartyPants:I honestly don't know why some people are so quick to judge. From the video, the guy did not beat that woman, he was only trying to free himself from the woman. Do you think that if the guy was to beat that woman, she would wait? And for those that'll argue that the guy beat the woman. Which part of her body was he hitting? Lastly, it's obvious that those behind the camera ain't a big fan of the woman which in turn could mean that the woman is wrong. Reasons being that a particular voice behind the camera said and I quote "she's a woman ni kinni- yoruba" which translates to "so what if she's a woman" he should go ahead and fight for his freedom her, that is they're are in support of the guy. And even the fact that nobody attempt to separate them can as well mean he wasn't beating her. |

Nigerians and their emotional gingoism... I didn't see any beating, all l saw was a woman trying to lock up a guy shirt through his belt or cloth. The question is shd the guy allow the woman straggle him cos he is not using tie. All the guy was doing is trying to free himself from the grip of the woman. And some highly emotional being shouting she is a woman o,she is a woman o. Because she is a woman she shd be abusing and locking up the shirt of another person.that looks immature of such kind women. I even see someone who is rough handling someone as she abusing him.if u rough handle me like that l must lose the grip o. Even Joseph Japa from the hands of portiphar's wife. |
Re: Afe Babalola University Student Beats Up Female Lecturer (Video) by WoundedLamb: 9:26pm On May 08, 2021 |
Buzx: Like I told the other guy, actions lead to reactions but not all reactions are justified by those actions. Lecturers have no business getting physical with students and if the lady were the one who resorted to that, she wouldn't be right. But then even that wouldn't justify her students hitting her especially if she wasn't hitting him. That guy was extremely violent and it sadens me that you guys aren't seeing that. Now to answer your question, any female that raised her hands to hit her lecturer just for the mere fact that he held her clothe deserve to be expelled. You can refuse to move, you can hold his hands and try to pull them off, you can scream at him to leave you. But if you start hitting him, that wouldn't be an equitable reaction and you'd amazed at how easy it is to move from the right side to the wrong side. Don't believe you could just anything cause you're on your right, the law isn't that mechanical. |
