Since 1960 that Nigeria became independent,our leaders have always told us to be hopeful about tomorrow. Yet they know that a good tomorrow starts with a good plan today.
Our leaders knew that by the time that tomorrow they preached comes, with nothing achieved, they are no longer in office. They had collected their shares of the “NIGERIAN BOOTY” and left. A new set of leaders would come and tell you to be hopeful for another tomorrow. That’s the fraud we have as leaders.
A better Nigeria of tomorrow is a product of good governance today, such as independent judiciary, an independent INEC, State independent police,independent legislatures,autonomy of states as equal components of the federation etc.
Ask the VP which of these has he achieved. By 2023, he will stop preaching hope.

Was it not the same 'hope' the previous regime sold tirelessly but was still ejected at the polls. What has changed except the 'preacher'.

The great question we should be asking today is why the standards of citizen advocacy has fallen to such grave levels that felons, brigands and violent non-state actors are the ones forcing action and the much desired changes.

Doesn't it tell us that the great crusade of hope was left unfinished in 2015 as a good many thought development started and ended with the elections. What a monumental waste. Eight years down the drain. How long is ones lifetime.

I’m not checking any record on google , those are just pen and paper records and hyping . One of the things that would be effective and curb insecurity is the establishment of effective state/community policing, perhaps the directive the VP gave the governors during NEC meeting to set up community engagement with their people is another way to go, they should just ensure youths are 70% in attendance especially in the East, they are being used to perpetrate evil in the region, a once peaceful region now carrying out carnage all in the name of piece mill by their politicians.

This is so apt! Especially that last sentence... It's very succinct. I know ibo people as peace-loving.... But my very question now is... Who are those behind the carnage and atrocities in the east?
