I don't have any issue with arresting fraudsters, but bursting into their homes in the middle of the night, just to extort them sounds like a kidnap and ransom scenario.....the said officials ain't better off than those boys, they both break the law for their personal gain,I wonder why we still have laws in this country, useless sods!

Most of them, not all my brother. People are making legit millions online. Information is power. I agree most young men living recklessly n spending on frivolities are into fraud n all these things u mentioned. Because even money made legitimately online requires work n some sort of stress. But believe me a young man in his 20s with the right info and luck can make millions and drive big cars and live quite big.

A better approach must be employed to curb this fraud menace, rather busting into people's home and extorting them.

Any official that crosses into my compound without invitation has trespassed and as thus might get an Uduak-Hindy Judgement.

EFCC should only arrest people that FBI and USA or Interpol requested them to produce, No country goes about arresting its youths and young Tech savy citizens on the guise that they are scammers without any investigations. Most of what the EFCC tag scam are online remote freelancing Jobs, the world has moved passed this stage. Then there is this targeted arrest on Yoruba/Benin and Igbo youths by EFCC and Police. The street will fight back because the Northern youths are bandits and Terrorist killing people everyday collecting millions of ransom and no one is arrested and prosecuted. This is grave Injustice, Yahoo boys will rise against EFCC in Yorubaland, even Sunday igboho has warned the EFCC to leave Yoruba people alone. Let the FBI arrest them after all no crime was committed in Nigeria. Why fight for USA and Europe? Are you more advanced than their police? Nigeria EFCC should face Nigeria economic crimes like Looting of Nigerian funds, contract scams, Terrorism financing, FACE NIGERIA Budget and look for crime their that’s EFCC job not for Yahoo boys. Period.

If he was suffering or begging. you won’t ask for his source of poverty. If EFCC don’t have genuine evidence or report by the victim. they have no right to investigate common citizen or is this a plan legalize poverty in Nigeria where anybody who start dressing well or driving a good car is a suspect of internet fraud. No wonder IT guys are leaving this shit country.

Actually its an old filling station in that area that is called dele yes sir, that's why people use the name to describe the bustop there,it's not the government that named the bustop dele yes sir....

Security officials doesn't have any right to bust someone privacy without court order... It's unlawful act and in sane clime no matter the allegations or suspicion it is, a security man have no right to arrest you in your home or search without court order.

When the head is faulty (Leaders),what do you expect of the body(Yahoo boys) ? Efcc damage the image of the country more than yahoo boys does. If they stop the 'paparazzi" of parading there innocent boys, then everything will be fine. USA,China ,Russia have fraudsters too,but you won't see them parading them to the world like efcc is always doing. Efcc and Buhari/lai Muhammed, gumi and their likes damage the image of the country more. Efcc officials are Yahoo boys too in their own way. Browse 10 richest yahoo boys in Nigeria. How many efcc don arrest persecute . Leave story oga. Where is magu, their ex chairman that said he shared money with vice president??
thats not an excuse to be a fraudster.if 200million people use decide to tow same path will Nigeria be habitable to Nigerians. There is dignity in labour. In ICT there re hundreds of ways to make money legit anybody that choose the illegal part is a criminal.

It's quite unfortunate in this country called Nigeria, where criminal chasing criminal.
Coz after the arrest they will take them to one corner or their office and start negotiate and Las Las they will release them... I wonder what will become the future of this country if things keep going on like this... embarassed cry

Additionally, I believe in the golden rule principle. What you'll do to me that would make me frown, I always avoid to do it to you. I live in an environment that the source of income of my peers is 90% fraud based but I choose to be the 10% who wanna be legit. I don't want to start having restless nights thinking what's going through my victim's mind.

Imagine your first phrase "in Nigerian setting" that means you don't expect anything meaningful from a young man in his 20's.. assuming America have this same mindset they won't have people succeeding there too.. Pray the Ogas at the top make the environment condusive for business and people to thrive, then watch fraud reduce drastically. See as America is releasing benefits for their citizens left and right then tell me one thing Nigeria has done for his citizens.

And the annoying thing is that even youths who're doing legit are not even safe from the hand of this useless and corrupted efcc...so far you're clean and have a car... wahala don come.. there are some people who their money is working for them, for me as per my work, I can stay at home for a whole year without going out if I wish..the nature of job permits me, but when all this colandlords or cotenants see u without going out and look stress up when coming back in the evening, they'll start gossip to the extent of inviting efcc or police to your matter

I have never seen EFCC on the road harassing anyone like SARS.
The way those boys operate now is sophisticated... it's like they are creating Yahoo hubs; group of Yahoo boys living together in an estate doing there fraudulent things.

I think a reasonable government would have made these youths understand this your point. But instead they arrest these boys ,in turn steal what they stole from their victims. (Ask Magu ,efcc ex chairman) Then after two months in jail, they are back to the streets with no job, means of survival,no formal enlightenment on ways to make legit money online. You expect these guys to leave fraud? As it is right now,no be only boys dey into the internet fraud business . Married men,low paid working class are into internet fruad. Until government do what they are supposed to do,efcc go arrest tire and soon these boys might start attacking them.
