3 planes gone within 90 days, I sympathize with the Chief of Air Staff. There are more problems on ground here. I just got to know that Dornier is still on contracts with Air force. I am yet to confirm the veracity of the information. We need Israeli mercenaries but our relationship with Israel and Buhari Islamic fanaticism may not permit Israeli mercenaries. Plane carrying the Chief of Army Staff was diverted from landing at Airforce base to Airport because of bad weather. What would have happened if the plane were to land at an Airstrip or a place where there is no Airport of Kaduna status like Akure or Ibadan or Benin?

Pilot experience may have contributed to the Abuja and Kaduna crashes. Captains flying a General can cause anxiety and nervousness when the weather changed. Flight operations in conditions of adverse weather or bad climatic conditions should be part of Airforce pilots training and military aircrafts should have been equipped to takeoff and land in such situation.

I sincerely felt grieved over these incidents, 3 planes gone within 90 days. May the souls of the late COAS and others rest in peace. I extended my condolences to the Chief of Air Staff as well.

The sosoliso casualties were caused by bad airport management system. Two people survived, one of Pastor Bimbo Odukoya PAs survived. Immediately the plane crash landed and burst into flames, no emergency response from Airport teams. They didn't even know a plane was in distressed situation and Parents of the children were already waiting at the arrival lounge. They became nervous and anxiety started when the plane failed to meet up with ETA. It was one or two passengers from other planes arriving from Lagos that noticed they saw a plane with flames somewhere far within the Airport vicinity . It even took time for the Airport to muster rescue team to get the burning plane.

The plane did not explode immediately . If rescue team had gotten there on time, everybody would have been rescued alive or there would have been less casualties. Remember, it also happened on weekend.
