Fulani Militiamen From Mali, Niger Republic, Others Have Infiltrated Most South-West Forests— Amotekun

The Southwest Security Network, codenamed Amotekun on Wednesday raised the alarm that President Muhammadu Buhari has opened borders for Fulani people from Mali, Niger Republic, Chad and Burkina Faso to enter the country.

The Chairman of Amotekun in Oyo state, General Ajibola Togun (rtd) said foreigners have been invading the country from Mali, Niger Republic, Chad and Burkina Faso. He also hinted that such foreigners are already hiding in many forest reserves in the South-West.

The retired army officer who spoke on the theme, “Security Challenge: Holistic approach and the significance of regional security dimensions,” disclosed this while speaking at the annual lecture organised by the students of the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ibadan.

Togun warned that people in the six states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo should be security conscious.

He described commercial motorcyclists who have made incursions into the states as foot soldiers sent by the invaders to study the geography of the zone.

He accused the Federal Government of inviting them when it declared that its borders were open to them, noting that he was not out to frighten people but to alert them so that they would be watchful.

“The people who are supposed to administer Nigeria to move forward are biased in the aspect of religion. The Fulani that I grew up to know were the native Fulani. But these ones causing problems are non-Nigerians. They are from FutaJallon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Niger Republic.

Some of these people were Tuaregs who used to ambush traders in the olden days and rob them of their money and property. These foreign Fulani, somebody had told them that Allah gave Nigeria to them as their heritage and they are coming here to come and take what Allah has given them.”

They should better fish them out nd kick them out of SW. A good place to look is the Ondo barracks, where thousands of fulani foreigners are taking refuge nd are being trained by soldiers.

Naa. It's the safest region. The blues will soon start, then reggae will follow. Keep laughing Igbos fighting to save their land

NOTE TO YORUBA YOUTHS:

This is former DMI. Director of military intelligence talking. Take him serious.

Yoruba youths, rise and defend your land before it's too late.

And to every Yoruba Muslim, when Fulani arrives with their knives and AK47, they don't know if you are a Yoruba Muslim or not.

They want your land, and if you are on their way, they slaughter, kill maim, rape and burn down houses. See what is happening in Benue, Taraba and Katsina. Those guys are vampires.

Stand up now and leave Igbo to face their problem.

Will you shut up your mouth this is important issues. Anyway back to the issue this is not right time to shift blame on anyone we have to work In hands to hands to flush this bastard out from our lands.

What thing certain Buhari will never ordered the killing of anyone or open way for killer to kill who elected him. Buhari himself not happy with what is happening .

You still wonder why herdsmen full everywhere.

Just look at the border, even small girls hawking awara through and fro Nigeria and Niger Rep. Literally no border.

You guys don’t know what we have put ourselves into, it’s Southern Nigeria vs Niger, Mali and Chad.

You think only the Fulanis in Nigeria are capable of holding the whole country hostage? Think again.

Meanwhile, introducing the New Zoo currency

This statement is tribalism at its finest. Please, these Fulani are simply looking for a place to do their business and live their lives, is such a crime? Please, stop this assault of the Fulani ethnic image.

We should stop assault on fulani image? Has fulani stopped assaults on Nigerians. The fulani are looking for a place to do business in an army barrack?

Why shld thousands of unknown and unidentified people come into a country freely like that ... where is it done? And what makes them so special that, they are being given preferential treatment, enough so, soldiers are even training them. You think everyone is foolish and that they won't understand what u ppl are doing?

NaijirianKing:
This is an over simplification, the border is not just open for "criminals," rather you have to understand the North.

On both sides of the border between Nigeria and Niger are the same ethnic groups, in fact some villages are actually split in half by these artificial borders drawn by colonialists.

So, in order for these villages and communities way of life not to be altered, the border must remain a soft border in order to not overly burden these communities that move between both nations.

Unfortunately, so elements take advantage of this, but not to the dimension stated here, most people who cross the border daily have done so historically for hundreds of years and are on legitimate business. This actually boosts the economy of the nation and increases inter-regional trade.

Will you claim not to be aware that a sizable number of Yorubas were carved into Benin Republic and share land borders with Nigeria? So it is okay to close the border in the Southwest to movement of people, goods ands services but leave the Northern borders wide open?

I’d rather take the words of a retired General, former head of DMI and former deputy head of SSS seriously than take the words of a random fellow on a faceless forum.
