he was sooĆ²o kind in 1983, that he extended his kindness so much that many people were imprisoned, killed or disappeared. Kindness of the devil.
He was so kind that even after he left power the north still trusted him.

Making him win core northern states back to back for over 2 decade's

last I checked, they pay rent, they pay taxes, that the government uses to pay you, they buy the land from YOU. Why sell the land to them?

Is this why Ahmadu Bello, Akintola, Balewa, and Festus Okoti Eboh had to die?.
They were all killed because your people are paying tax in 1966?.
No wonder you people are being constantly made to gnash your teeth.
It's all retributions, your people's lack of respect and consideration for other, got them into the mess they are swimming in.
I don't see them getting out any time soon either.

One thing that has become evident in Nigeria is the unbridled hate between Fulanis and Igbos. However, many conjectures have been made about it but oftentimes, they fail to unravel the basic reason for that hate. Unfortunately, most other Nigerians tend to side with the Fulanis historically, not because they love the Fulanis per se but simply because the Fulanis are in control of the politics of Nigeria, and humans naturally have a proclivity to side with those having the reins of power.

The basic reason why the Fulanis hate Igbos and vice versa is simply because Igbos are Christians, democratic, libral, and merit driven. These 4 factors are what the Fulanis abhor with passion. Fulanis see Igbos as the only serious threat to the sort of hegemonic control they intend to have over the rest of Nigeria. Another ethnic group the Fulanis hate in Nigeria with passion are the Tivs for similar reasons I mentioned above. However, unfortunately for the Tivs, they are too small in terms of numbers and wherewithall to resist them. The killings going on in Benue is also because of that. Ask yourself, why are there no killings and sacking of villages in other middle belt states like Kwara, Niger, Nasarawa and Kogi relative to Benue? It's because the Fulanis already see those areas as under their full control.

The fulanis are also very cunning, what they lack in physical strength and skills, they made up in their ability to be tactical and shrewd. Fulanis having realized that Igbos are now their only real challenge in Nigeria, they cunningly used their control of government in Nigeria to promote Igbophobia as a national way of life. They also capitalized on the Igbo/Yoruba rivalry to entrench it by ensuring that Yorubas are allowed to enjoy some priviledges relative to Igbos. The fulanis have realized that the worst thing that would happen to them is for the South to unite and when that started to seem like a possibility in the wake of widespread bloodshed and attempts to foist RUGA on us, they backpedaled. Ordinary southern governors meeting had them foaming in the mouth and dishing out threats but these people have been organizing northern governors meeting since! Now, they are trying to see how they could isolate Igbos and have the rest of the country fight Igbos just like in 1967-70.

Unfortunately, Southerners aren't smart enough to act in unison. Isn't it ironical that despite all the killings and oppression going on in the middle belt, the Fulanis still champion one North but in the South without any fighting or killing of each other, we still can't unite and pursue a common goal.

I am igbo and I respect Buhari alot and northern leaders. They are very wise people.

Till today ask any igbo man shouting restructuring, tell me what you want to restructure in the east they won't answer u anything. North that's smart enough know how to reason things but una just dae think ontop ontop, u can't even see past your nose.

Then when it happens 50years later una go start another problem saying you made a mistake that north is marginalizing u

Igbo indeed! Who's your father?

Looking at the Nigerian map and the size of the south east tell me where and how u want to carve out this new state, am listening.

State creation is not sth that's done for creating sake, it's normally done for administration. Before the creation of bayelsa state the rivers people used to cry of marginalization from the ijaws so they created bayelsa for them, before the creation of akwa ibom they used to cry of marginalization from cross rivers that's y they created another state.
Same with ebonyi state thru used to cry of marginalizations from enugu.

Now I ask u apart from u up there drawing up maps and forcing state on the eastern people for creating sake which eastern glad have submitted themselves that they are being marginalized and want their own state?
We are not really clamouring for state creation, we just want equity and fairness in the scheme of things in this country if truly we want to move forward, if Kano and Katsina can have 44 and 34 local governments respectively then let the local government in every state be the same or simply abolish local governments.
Most of the lopsided appointments that you see in Nigeria today originated from the over bloated number of local governments in the North west.
I have personally been to over 35 local governments in Kano state and I can confidently tell you that some of them doesn't have up to 20 villages that made up the local government, it was simply made so for political dominance.

Are not now telling me that your forefathers in the likes of Nnamdi Azikwe, Alex Ekweume n recently Peter Obi are fools that saw all these traits and still chose to. Slave under the same Fulani ?

Also are you claiming Igbos are saints ?

Your quest is soooooo flawed.

You people need to think before talking.

Now it's beginning to dawn on you little by little that restructuring was never the problem.

Land mass of kano is bigger than the entire south east, population of kano is bigger than that of the entire south east but u want kano and ebonyi to have equal number of lgas.

And u say u want restructuring cause u want equity. For real wetin una want

This goes to show that you guys don't want meritocracy in Nigeria, So landmass and population are the only yardstick to measure and implement modes of governance in a multi-ethnic country like Nigeria.
You will agree with me that Nigeria copied the American Federal system of government but fails to copy the American way of multi-ethnic inclusiveness in governance and that is why we are moving backward.

The US state of Alaska is almost 70 times the size of State of New Jersey, if it is in Nigeria, Alaska will then have about 310 Senators representing it, while New Jersey will have 3.
With this kind of mindset, this Nation can never move forward,
If the North cherishes there landmass and population so much, they should key into quest for regionalism so that they can use their landmass and population positively to better the lot of their people.
