At least China has an alternative to Twitter. What alternative does Nigeria have? That useless app called Crowwe? I laugh in Pakistan. We are clearly delving into a dictatorship government. |

ICT illiterate. The ban is easy to enforce. Simply keep a team researching on the most used vpn servers and blocking their open ports and blacklisting their ip addresses. Keeping up with the ban is an infinitesimal if the government means it. Ask those that stay in dubai. No every vpn works because the government keeps up with the vpns. All they have to do is keep an eye on Google play store and watch comments. Block the next day. Smart assets download direct and load apk but surely comment someone or recommend people, block. Some setup private vpn servers but with skilled experts at NCC, this ban can be easily enforced. Only a few smart asses will be using twitter. By the time the lost revenue fowl nyash go open. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

kingthreat: slowpoke. Whether you guys like it or not. Nigeria is a Democratic country and everyone have the liberty to express their right. We are not about to fall back to a military rule, we left many years ago. Buhari is a pig. 6 Likes |

Why is it difficult to enforce? Govt will instruct Telcos and ISP's to ban access to the IP. Many Nigerians have been talking about VPN but it means Govt has partially achieved their purpose. What's trending is one of the most important features of Twitter. Where you are browsing from plays a major role in the feature algorithm. The only way our youths can defeat this is to agree to choose one small country in the VPN and we dominate it. If we dominate a small country through VPN and force the algorithm our way, the citizens of the country will start complaining too if they are seeing Nigerian topics trending so much in their country. Our Telcos and ISP's intelligent firewalls will suspect too and ban those VPN's traffic. The best solution is just not to let this pass. NGOs should sue FG. It's Twitter today, it could be IG tomorrow. It could even be the whole internet someday. 2 Likes |
