Re: Twitter Ban Difficult To Enforce In Nigeria, Say ICT Experts by faceland: 12:14pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
emkz: The picture you show is the tweet of a foreigner (may be you don't even understand how Twitter works which is not an important skills, it's just a platform). Buhari issues a death threat to YOUTHS taking part in protest for Biafra saying he 'use the language they understand' after talking about the first civil war. So Twitter removed the tweet. His ego is hurt, so he ban the. A week later. |

Re: Twitter Ban Difficult To Enforce In Nigeria, Say ICT Experts by emkz: 12:26pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
NikAustine: Please go and read the post and show where the post called for violence. "We will speak to them in a language they understand" is a statement can be interpreted in many ways. You just interpreted it the way that suits your own narrative which shows a defect in your reasoning. Many of you don't read, and even many more hardly think. You allowed your feelings to guide you in dissecting the tweet. I don't know how much you know about natural language processing, data science and machine learning, but be aware that many PhD positions try to detect abusive language and threat in social media posts. If I were you, I'd try to ask the President to explain what he meant? Not assume you knew what he meant and run with it. Try and show that you did not only go to school, but you are sufficiently educated to filter the things you read. If not that they wanted to flex muscles, twitter shouldn't have deleted that tweet. It is an attempt to gag the President which is an insult to all of us. |

Re: Twitter Ban Difficult To Enforce In Nigeria, Say ICT Experts by emkz: 12:31pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
faceland: Can you write an essay on how 'use the language they understand' is a threat? I do not mean to insult you, but if I can receive 3 pages of that academic document convincing me that it is indeed a threat (which can be independently assessed by Mynd44), I shall send you 20k for data. I pledge it to you today. |
