Buhari didn't give order to ban Twitter

Freedom of Speech.. grin grin But Buhari tweet was deleted?

Anyway, the Federal Govt. is no way hindering freedom of speech...We still have Facebook, Nairaland, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, crowwe etc..

FG only banned one platform where irresponsible speech capable of wrecking havoc to the corporate existence Nigeria is permitted and that is Twitter...

God Bless Nigeria..

We all know the truth. Banning Twitter is an infringement on the fundamental rights of Nigerians.

But Buhari tweet is not Freedom of Speech, that one idiot called Twitter will delete. We have other platforms which citizens can use

If you choose to go on Twitter abide by their rules. Respect their rules. Simple. If you don't like what you see, delete your Twitter account. Shikena

You are such an unfortunate nitwit. A president that has demonstrated his disgust for certain ethnic group while his own Fulani brothers have been wrecking havoc unchallenged doesn't deserve respect.

[/s] May what Buhari is doing to Nigerians follow you and your family if it is a good one. May you and your family experience all that is happening in Benue which they're trying to silence people from hearing about it. May genocide meet you and your family as they're planning one for southeast already. May it never stop till it destroys you. Since you don't want to have sense and reason well. Why would you be so heartless and full of envy and hatred. You don't see anything bad in your president's tweet? May God fight you and never cease till you repent.

Isn't it apparent that people's freedom to express themselves on these platforms you have mentioned can also be hindered? If Twitter could be banned, why not those other ones. Freedom of speech is allowed but it must not promote hatred and enmity which is why the tweet was deleted.
I pray that the kidnapping, terrorism and other evils happening in this country doesn't come near you for you to realize that we have a failing system that should be addressed and you receive wisdom and understanding, and at least common sense to properly analyze situations.
Re: US Mission In Nigeria Statement On Twitter Ban by Mooooo: 9:14pm On Jun 05, 2021
I need to say something
I have seen good and total bad takes here

I just want to say is that it doesn't matter weather twitter is a great platform or not but it is a platform where people can express themselves with out worry as long as it is in the guidelines and policies so banning twitter is like cutting our months. It is not about using VPN but rather that the fact that the government is ready to do something like this. This is how countries like Iran and south Korea operate by cutting our expression. God forbid but soon we might not express our selves in our houses and we might not have privacy any more. It would have not really matter if they banned Facebook first as it is more of a shitty site than twitter.

Also the us government cant do a lot if. Nigeria doesn't comply. The only way they can make Nigeria comply by force is by sanctions or war which are not the best ways.

As for me I am afraid of being online I don't know if they will burst down my door and take me away for expressing my opinions. Let's pray people that this doesn't turn a dictator rule.

Keep safe
