No too much talk here. US should deport all the rifraffs in their country related to everyone that has anything to do with these fascists. And all of them must be banned from traveling to US.

Council of foreign relations made a statement... but Buhari and his government chose to ignore .. instead of asking..

Yoruba media propaganda keep gingering encouraging the dullard to act out..

Many don’t even know what CFR stands for and who they’re ... very unfortunate for them and so fortunate for those who know.

Banning twitter is a loss on the government of Nigeria. We all know how Obama government brought Buhari in and gave him legitimacy.

I love Nigeria ... but so unfortunate is gone. Majority of Nigerians both online and offline are not informed.. the source whatever from hearsay and spread it..

Kanu has dealt a heavy one on Buhari government.. although not planned.. but the dullard jerked and got it.. now it’s all going down

Is Buhari still going to unleash violence on igbos dominated eastern Nigeria

Is he still going to crush like in 67’

Any attempt attempt will draw ire from international community

Meanwhile the unknown gunmen still remain unknown... soon IPOB will flood Twitter with pictures of humans he has killed in the last one month, steady their propaganda against the dullard with sentiments that’s all

The government has shown his autocratic self.. in a democratic country

Times are getting worst for this government... and his supporters are dumb.. so dumb without them knowing

Ignorance is spreading by day...

Lol...

You tried so hard to present from the point of Logic. Unfortunately, you goofed.

I would love you to educate me on how COWNU dented the Buhari's Image. The same shameless coward living off the fools sweat UK.

Complacency. That is the root cause of you guy's problem.

I still wonder how you think banning a company that sees no wrong in promoting separatist, IPOB terrorist and allows a Fugitive to disrespect the President and disparages the Country on its platform. Will be a problem.

Know this: Twitter will apologise and come to term with the Nigerian Government. The platform was not just banned here, it was banned in China, UK, Pakistan and some others. I guess those countries too are regretting their actions abi? Stop Lionizing a Cruel platform.

Think about this: What is wrong in a President telling Killers, Terrorists, Anarchist etc. they will be dealt with in the Language they understand? The best Mr. Jack could do is to delete such comment. This is Ridiculous! To even think Kanu, the lead Terrorist threatened to Kill soldiers and Jack left the Tweet undeleted shows how biased the devilish platform is.

FYI, beyond your not so good submission, Government Decisions are encompassing and they are devoid of emotions.

On the issue of international community you raised, guess what? It is Laughable.

Know this: there is more to Sovereignty that you coming here to cook up below par statement.

I Cum in peace!

Nauttyprof:

Can we avoid reasoning like this? The same way you see other platforms as alternatives to communication or freedom of expression is the same way the government can come up to ban them if they don't support the wrong practices of the government.

Can we just be honest and fair to ourselves? Let's call a spade, a spade and stop giving titles to cow because of the beef we want to eat. Boko haram has been with us for years with many kidnapped, killed and some places in the North not safe anymore for movement. Imagine, the government saying farmers should have requested for permission before going to their farms. The man empowered with the control of all armed forces never for once spoke in the manner he spoke against the terrible act in South East. Is justice unfair? Have we lost our conscience?

Irresponsible speech as you called it goes on every social media platform and is not restricted to twitter alone. Let's be enlightened here.

If we are objective about this, it was Nigerians who reported the tweets of the president to those in charge of twitter and how it contradicts the terms and conditions binding the use of the platform. They investigated and found the complaints to be true and did the needful. Let me state here that the president is not the president of Nigerian tweets on twitter but like everyone and anybody who has an account on twitter and as such should go by the terms and conditions binding on this platform. Also, the president wasn't forced to be on this platform and the president also saw the terms and conditions before agreeing to be on this platforms. To go against their terms and conditions and at the same time try to stop other Nigerians from this freedom of communication is selfish, lawless and autocratic.

...but it was freedom of speech when kanu the terrorist leader issued terrorist threats to kill Nigerians and destroy Nigeria and that did not violate Twitter rules and terms at all?

Why are they now deleting the terrorists tweets when they should have a long time ago even after the Nigerian government complained and asked for the tweets to be deleted?

Twitter got what it deserved and they should have been banned a long time ago

You people are too duplicitous and hypocritical for your own good.

Freedom of speech is an exclusive right to the people/citizens. presidency is a call to serve the people, nigerians are the boss here not the other way round. we can say whatever we like to buhari cos nigerians gave him the vote.
What havoc could twitter possibly do that mitteh allah, liein mohammed & garba shehu have done with there reckless statement all times. Need i remind you buhari had made several reckless statement under guise of freedom of speech b4 he became president was his post deleted or was he arrested.
femi adesina once said if they allow buhari speak from his mind, 3yrs they're still cleaning the mess the statement wil creat, buhari is the havoc nigeria should av avoided.

If you were reasonably you will know that debunking any fake new or misunderstanding will serve better than throwing the whole country out of a service for which is the source of living for some. Nigeriais not a personal property and shouldnot be abused.

You may not know but someone is not able to make a living tonight because of the government decision yesterday.

[b]Nonsense
Now that he is about to lose $11 Billion worth of market value from the country he passed as insignificant.
Twitter owner, Jack, gives free space for terrorists and insurgents to push out contents of violence that destabilizes Nigeria but tries to Censor President of the most populous black Nation on earth for threatening Criminals killing and destroying facilities.

Jack actively sponsors and aid anything akin to disorder in Nigeria in the name of Democracy (where everyone can do anyhow) but in his country (USA) he bans all identified protesters on Twitter who sought to access the Capitol, (his country's National Assembly) and called them terrorist, insurrectionist etc.
Let Twitter apply for license (from NBC) to operate in Nigeria officially as they do in Europe and Ameria. Open office in Imo State, then employ Nigerians and pay 15% tax to Nigeria from his Nigerian revenue, as he does to US, Europe and soon for Ghana. Basically, Jack and his Twitter should have physical investment in Nigeria and become a stakeholder and then we will see if he will continue to allow terrorist to use his platform to preach violence.

To Nigerians, When Your country is set ablaze you won't have money to buy phone or data to access Twitter account.
Nigeria First

Dissolve the most dysfunctional country, Nigeria, into more manageable countries now, so that peace, happiness and development shall be for the millions of people being strangulated in Nigeria by the inadequacies of one Nigeria.

Nigerian emigrants to the US want to return to their motherlands but their lands are under the control of Islamic terrorists sympathizers in government of Nigeria.

Go online and search for vids of police (not just US ) planting fake evidence on people

While you’re at it maybe you should also check for stories of people wrongly imprisoned for years
I repeat it’s not endemic to Nigeria alone

Very wrong statement to make. A campaign to end police brutality does not equate to a plot to destabilise Nigeria.

If the security forces were on ground to manage the protests, miscreants would not have hijacked the protests.
