nsiba: Lol, these are banters that happen everywhere, at least we all speak one language, have same culture and traditions, and are hardworking progressives! Have you seen us burning down houses, fighting and killing each other like you guys do in Warri, Gelegele etc? What sort of nation are you going to have where ateke Tom, boyloaf, tompolo, asari dokubo and other ijaw militants will be the ones calling the shots and ordering others around? Can say Uhrobo, Bini, or Ibibio man be president without these jobless militants harrasing them endlessly? I can bet a million naira that the 6 SS states will never transform into a nation. It will experience worse crises than South Sudan and the other minorities would be foolish not to know that. Ijaw can have their nation with Rivers and Bayelsa, Akwa-Cross will have theirs too. Anything else will be Armageddon 4 Likes |

You always here them calling for referendum for the people in the region to decide their fate because they have rigging machineries to do the dirty work. Igbos are globally known to be fraudlent and morally corrupt. They're capable of doing anything thing to advance their selfish interest. The call for Biafra referendum on the people of Delta and Rivers by someone from far away South-East alone shows the act of desperation. My Brother, if Igbo affiliated ethnic nationalities in the Niger Delta wishes to identify with the Biafra cause, believe me, a referendum won't be needed. I know my Anioma, Ndokwa people in Delta state, if they wish to join Biafra nobody can stop them and a referendum won't be needed to ensure that. Thus, I'm submitting that you can't come from Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu or Ebonyi to demand referendum in Niger Delta. You must be delusional. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Afriifa: Lol, you're already erasing their identity? So Obigbo, Asaba, Etche, Asa (half of them are still in Abia), Ndoki, Egbema (half of them are still in Imo State), Isobo, Igbanke etc and several others in Niger Delta are no longer Igbos? The name of Delta State governor is Ifeanyi, he speaks Igbo and practices Igbo culture and traditions just like the Enugu State governor who is Ifeanyi and does all these too! Why are you guys decieving yourselves?? 4 Likes 1 Share |

FreeIgbos:Why are you so concern? Is this act of desperation not too much? You're indirecting demarketing the Igbo nationality with these rhetorics. You know very well that the population of south-easterners in Niger Delta advancing their socio-economic development far exceeds the Niger Deltans in south-east for the same reason. With this antics, you think I'll still find joy in patronizing your Igbo brother who owns a provision shop in my street as against the non-igbo shop owner? You are unnecessarily attracting more contempt for the Igbos directly and this would further put your race in jeopardy 3 Likes 1 Share |

FreeIgbos:Practices Igbo Culture? Davido's Son with Chioma is answering Ifeanyi. Does that make him Igbo? What is the meaning of Okowa then? I always tell you the influence of Igbo culture (names) among Niger Delta nationalities is as result of slavery. We enslaved so many Igbos from Imo and Abia particularly, and took some of their girls and women as wives and concubines. The result of this is the moderate influence of Igbo culture among this ethnicities. However, they cannot be classified as Igbo in literal sense. Get that into your head. 3 Likes 3 Shares |

Truthshots23: Nobody called you a slave. You were only presented with facts to counter the lies you guys have been spewing. You hate Igbos from the SE but claim to love Igbos from SS, what sort of stupidity is that? In your Igbophobic tendencies, when you see a man with the name Emeka or Eze, do you ask him to mention his region first so you can decide whether to like or hate him? In essence, you don't like Igbos so why do you want Igbos in your Babel republic? Yes, you don't owe us anything but you owe yourself the truth which is what will set you free. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

FreeIgbos:Have you been following closely what these "Igbos" in Niger Delta have been saying?. Whatever the origins of these people, the one thing they're are not is Igbo. A people and a civilization will evolve to a point where no matter how much similarles they have with some originating clan they simply become a distinct people of their own. The Asaba King has the Benin Royal swords too as symbols. Osadebe the Midwest region premier was an Asaba man with Edoid name. So are the Osakwes and Iyasele etc. The truth is these are people of mixed herritage and have alway found natural comfort with their minority kins. That is hy you will not see them advocate for Biafra. Ikas have outlaw everything Biafra in their domain. Asaba people know where they stand but want to avoid Igbo aggressive noise and intimidation for now as it is unnecessary. Their silence is their voice. Ikwere will slaughter Biafrans if they come near. You guys are done. Face your 5 states Biafra. Best of luck. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Afriifa: So this coc.k and bull fairytale is what you will tell Igbos that would be unfortunate to join you in your Babel republic? You see how you guys compare apples with oranges in your mischief. So Davido marrying Chioma an Igbo girl and having their son named Ifeanyi is same with indigenous Igbos of Anioma and Enugu who bear the name, does these scenarios relate? You ask the meaning of Okowa? So what's the meaning of Umahi? What's the meaning of Upkai? What's the meaning of Kanu? Can you tell me? Sometimes ago, Ifeanyi Okowa made the teaching of central Igbo compulsory in Anioma land but you keep decieving yourself. The joke is on you! 1 Like |

Afriifa:The Army can never kill Yorubas the way they're slaughtering Igbos like dogs giving the same situation. There is no value on Igbo lives. Their own governors invite Fulani Army to bomb their own people and go proudly to announce it. No Yoruba governor in an eternity will do that. Igbo have no character. spearman: Very funny dude. So the same Anioma people whose sons in the army caused the coup that was called Igbo coup till date are no longer Igbos because one deluded fool somewhere said so? Are you even aware that Anioma people were massacred by Nigerian troops during the war because they are Igbo? Are you aware that Joe "Air raid" Achuzie and several other top Biafra army commanders were Anioma Igbos? The same Osadebe that begged Zik to help rescue them from the Western region that eventually resulted in the creation of Midwest? So Anioma Igbos are of mixed heritage with Bini according to you, yet Bini people killed many of them in Benin when Nigerian troops arrived? I know that Nigerian government banned history so that you all will remain ignorant but you can help yourself by reading history books or even checking online. FreeIgbos: The story of Biafran occupation of the Midwest is for another day. No Asaba person was murdered in Benin. Ojukwu's propaganda is responsible for the death of stranded Biafran soldiers in Benin as they were made to believe on the radio Biafra broadcast that morning that Biafran soldiers are advancing towards Shagamu. Biafra conduct was so hedeous that the anger that followed their expulsion is a natural outcome. Ojukwu made an "Igbo" man as administrator of the Midwest after removing David Ejoor from the largest Uhrobo tribe. He arrested an sent into Biafra the most senior non Igbo civil servants and they were all rumored to have been executed and never return d till the end of the war. The conduct of the occupation Biafran army was atrocious. The shout that rented the air was "Na we get una now". 3 Likes |

spearman: Childish rants. The day they take up arms or have any group that challenges Nigeria or the army, they will also face same situation. Sanwo Olu and Tinubu invited soldiers to attack #endsars protesters and many of them were massacred, so you see you have no point and you hardly makes sense. Besides, Uzodimgba was never voted for, he didn't have the mandate of the people. 1 Like 1 Share |

Urhobo Historical Society Views and Perspectives on the Location of the Headquarters of Delta State, Nigeria, in Asaba By Itse Sagay Professor of Law, University of Benin IN my short article entitled "Delta State: Its own worst enemy?", published in The Guardian on Monday June 10, 2001, I advocated certain solutions to the imminent political crisis in the state, which admittedly was controversial and bound to generate reaction and debate. I also expected that whilst some might accept my proposals, others particularly in the Ogboru camp might strongly contest my views. The issue of the location of the State capital in Anioma, instead of the real Delta State was incidental as far as I was concerned. It was meant to illustrate the fact that positive developments in the State tend to be accompanied by undesirable developments and phenomena. I little expected comments or criticisms on the issue of the State capital, although these are also welcome. As expected quite a number of comments and reactions have rolled in. All these articles have been couched in decent, civilised language, and concentration has been on ideas and issues and not on personalities. That is, until Clem Okonjo's contribution published in the Guardian of Monday July 8, 2002. Okonjo abandoned the issue and descended on me, my motives etc and followed this with insulting, indeed abusive remarks. Let me illustrate with some examples. After describing my father as an icon, rare gem, detribalised etc Okonjo went on to state what a contrast I am to the 'great' man. In the first place my father has nothing to do with the issue, and Mr Okonjo is not qualified to judge his character, personality and achievements. Let Okonjo limit his views on personal qualities to members of his own family, who might appreciate it. For us in the Sagay family, it is an insult for some unknown quantity to dare to express his opinion about our illustrious father. Who appointed Okonjo a judge of his superiors' character? It has become the norm for nonentities to award prices and honours to their superiors these days. This is just a variant of that practice. Okonjo, the Sagay family reject your views on our father. You are unworthy to be a judge of his character. In any case our father was not in issue in the matter under consideration. The Sagay family was not in issue, and we as a family do not want to hear his views on our father. Next in quick succession, Okonjo called me, (i) Uneducated in rudimentary truths, (ii) a political jobber and (iii) an Itsekiri man who is a political jobber for the Urhobos. On the last issue, it would appear that Okonjo has been a beneficiary of the Itsekiri - Urhobo disputes and is extremely disturbed by a possible alignment of views between the two Sister Nations. Of course the present location of the Delta State Capital in Anioma State is a fallout of this dispute, with outside opportunists stoking the embers of the dispute and making away with the rights and interests of the quarrelling sisters. And so for my conviction that the capital of Delta State was immorally and shamelessly transferred outside Delta, instead of remaining at Warri where it had been capital of Warri province, since the 1920s, I am a political jobber for the Urhobos. It is better that I am so than to be a political jobber for Aniomas 1 Like |
