Really! Did you come up with all these because you thought about them or you were told (maybe through social media)?
Because there is no Utopia anywhere. If you are looking for a perfect nation, or a perfect life, then maybe you need to have a rethink about where you are because on this planet, there is no perfection.

That is what the older generation have realised and they also know they have it a lot better than when they were younger. But it seems you millenials, having being born into a world where pretty much everything has been done already and especially, you have been brainwashed to believe that everything is all rosy in other climes through movies, social media and the internet generally.

duni04:

Those youths taking part in the "senseless protest" are the real heroes of our time. They are the ones that truly love Nigeria. While other Nigerians sit at home, keep quiet and suffer an oppressive and incompetent government, they go out and protest and say enough is enough! They want change! That is the difference between cowardice and bravery. Those youths do not have a plan B! Nigeria is their Plan B.

What defines the "right" people?

Go and ask the French what they think of Macron now. Change is never easy.
The people also have to play their part, do the hard work.
This idea of leaving everything to government is no longer feasible!

How I wish my fellow Nigerian youths can use this energy to go get their PVC and bring in the right persons for the job.

Okay. Can you very kindly suggest what the government can do (immediately) to stop us from buying sardine for "N450" ?
((Actually, sardine is N215-280, depending on which brand).

Also, yes we are hardly hearing of people being killed by Sars or stray bullets these days. But at what cost?

Now more people have been killed by bandits, UGM, and terrorists in the past 8 months due to the damage #Endsars did to the morale of the police and the law enforcement.

See, the truth is, when you are trying to resolve a problem through force, you inadvertently end up creating more.
It's simply the law of physics.. shrugs!
Acidosis:

If people had not protested against SARS, you may have died from a stray bullet from SARS.

Lazy youth. After tweeting with VPN, you will still go out fearfully to buy sardine for N450.

If u have at least 50k to 100k people on d streets in every major city in d country on a daily sustained basis, then d protests can remove a sitting president
The annoying thing is that we really ought to have more than that number on the streets protesting and asking Buhari to go! Look at Nigeria, nothing is working! Fulani herdsmen ravaging the country and the President addresses the nation and tells everyone to tell the governors to adopt the traditional approach of security by consulting chiefs and elders!!!! That is the presidents strategy to stop kidnapping and bandicts!!! Look at Benue, people are slaughtered everyday and the President was busy sympathizing with Burkina Faso when people died.
Its just a big shame that Nigerians are sitting at home and allowing Buhari to get away with chronic incompetence. Instead of coming out enmass and chasing the man away.

What on earth are you talking about? Have you lived abroad before? I have! I don't see it in movies, I have lived it! They have systems that work!!! Not because they have 2 heads, but because everyone is accountable and people don't sit in their homes and bitch or whine! Everyone is a stakeholder! They harass their leaders and demand everything from them. That is why their systems work. Whereas you would rather sit down in your house and enjoy 2hrs of electricity without complaining. That is a ridiculous way of living. If you don't ask/demand, you won't be given anything!
And please stop this attitude of looking down on people that are brave enough to demand more from the system. They are the real heroes of democracy. They are the reason leaders think twice before they steal or abuse their power. Because they know there will be people ready to go out on the streets and make life hell for them if they mess up. Nobody takes a coward that sits at home and doesn't complain serious.

What is the protest in Lagos going to do for us ? Only to increase suffering of the common man , Buhari will remain Buhari until God takes control

Let those who are capable of putting pressure on those in power continue to do so. Imagine that those irresponsible leaders wake up everyday without news to worry them, they will simply take all for granted. News of protest keep them at least in a state of fear. My people say "Adie ba l'okun, ara o r'okun, ara o r'adie" 'Omo to ni'ya e o ni sun, ko ni f'oju kan orun'

Sardine is 215? What kind of lie is this na?

And who says Fulani herdsmen were not terrorising the people 2 or 3 years back? Are you sure you're in Nigeria?

Your 215 price is enough to invalidate your entire post. There's nothing to respond to here.

You vote in a proven dullard, not once but TWICE!
Only to start fighting with the police on the road to remove him!
You vote in inepts just to spite others! Unrepentantly!!!
And no matter the atrocities commited by his regime elsewhere, you don't care as long as he shares the crumbs with you!
Pathetic![/quote]

Why are they been arrested? Are we living fine in the country? Police na u get this questions.
The Police are the worst hit by the Economy due to their poor salary, they are not even happy that the endsars promise of their salary increment has not been met till date and again another promise has been made to review their salary upward, it has always been promises and directing of National Salary Income & Wages Commission but nothing is done, they cannot watch hoodlums hyjack the peaceful protest, by being violent, stealing and looting of innocent residents shops
