Keeping Nigeria together is very expensive. Oil is a curse to Nigeria, brings nothing but misery. Without Buhari Nigeria would have collapse in 2015 and 2020 due to crash oil prices. I wish oil was never discovered in Nigeria. We don't want the curse of Oil in Northern Nigeria.. we are conservative and we prefer to live natural

This is day light robbery on the southern part of Nigeria, and this is one of the reason why Nigeria need to divide & rearranged to a normal setting where all man for himself, my natural resources will be used to develop my region or nation.
As for PA Edwin Clarke, I'm sorry to say Sir. You're one of the problem of the south. An average Niger Delta man that is previledge amongst many that ought to speak, stand & fight for his people will jettison purpose for political relevance. Our southern leaders have failed us & will continue to fail us until we Take Our Future Back from them.
Our senators have collected money and they've remain silent in the face of oppression, killing & poverty that has ravage the south, imagine 3% for host community wey get the natural resources, then person wey never explore him own natural resources don already allocate 30% for themselves, pipeline that pass thru communities will be paid from the 3% host community trust fund.
Sultan of sokoto led the northern traditional ruler to a meeting held at Abuja concerning PIB while our own traditional rulers and politicians were busy playing party politics.
The Northern elites have unite to steal from the gullible south and even take away the crumbs they plan to leave for the south yet there is no one to speak for us.
Northern Muslims are beast.
This nation must divide...

Hold ND political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, (ex-)agitators etc accountable for the sorry state of the ND!

Tell them to state categorically how The Ministry of the Niger Delta, NDDC, 13% derivation have been judiciously utilized for the benefit of host communities and other stake holders in the region.

They just do some window dressing and embezzle the rest.

Percentage though important but it's not the case as far as the development of the ND is concerned at the moment.

The proper utilization of funds for the overall development of the area is missing.

ND leaders are the enemies of their own people!

Aside taking 30% of entire profits to search for non existent oil in NORTH, when the reserves we have in the Niger Delta are almost 40 billion barrels!! Worse still oil is becoming worthless, if these people are not wicked, brain dead and greedy, they would stop further exploration for crude oil and maximise the ones already discovered while we can!

As if selfishly grabbing 30% of all profits are not enough, they also claimed that wherever oil pipelines pass is a HOST COMMUNITY shocked shocked shocked What this means is that Kaduna and Kano will end up getting oil derivations too shocked shocked

Is there any scam bigger than this? I swear Hushpuppy still dey learn format where these gambaris dey grin grin grin

Where were southern senators?

You know it’s funny when Ndigbo are telling the Niger Deltans/Ijaw that we need to join together and fight as one big family and they think the Igbo is after their oil.

Now the North is making stealing of oil money official by making a law for it.

Imagine removing 30% of profit from every that would ever be sold from the time the bill becomes law. That will be money meant exclusively for the north to spend. Whether they use for oil exploration or to buy houses in Dubai or marry more wives, you no right to ask.

Not only that, I also read that host communities has been made to include any community where pipeline passes. Which means that northern communities where pipelines pass would henceforth be regarded as host community and share from 3% Trust Fund created for host communities.

Asari Dokubo will not see this one.

Fools keep thinking Igbo is their enemy.
shut up yam head.. we have reject that denomic bill..

Edwin Clarke's one Nigeria or Zik's, Ojukwu and Ironsi's one-Nigeria? When Saro Wiwa and Isaac Adaka Boro saw all these ahead and decided to pull their regions out of one-Nigeria, who stopped them and forcefully brought them back with federal military might? You people just love to keep rewriting history to play the victim card. Continue. This PIB is one of the numerous long term consequences of Ironsi's Unification Decree.

It is either Chief Edwin Clark is deceiving his people or he does not even care about the interests and welfare of Niger Delta people. Are you kidding me? You mean as leader of so-called Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Clark wasn't following the progress PIB in NASS and the caucus of ND lawmakers weren't briefing him on per-step-basis. I mean, even the Sultan of Sokoto and the nominal leaders of ACF, Audi Ogbe kept vigil on PIB on behalf of the North.

Well, it is not completely late. At Senate/HOR harmonization level, Southern caucus MUST insist that 30% should be allocated to geopolitical zones to prospect for oil in each zone. Chikenna!

In any case, PIB and all the percentages therein have little benefits for the common man. Like NDDC situation, the politicians will corner the percentages and help themselves.

Unfortunately, once again, the Northern politicians displays wrong prioritization by focusing more on oil than developing crop production and animal husbandry that will employ and empower millions of young Northerners. Not yet uhuru for bandits to end.

You spoke my mind. God bless you. At times, it seems like our representatives at the national assembly are more concerned about their allocations than the interest of their constituents. And particularly checkmating these northerners when it comes to critical bills like this. We have southerners in that committee who should have raised the red flags but were more concerned about passing the bill for posterity than the merits it will bring to their constituencies. Madness!!!

Please go and read history, your hero Adaka Boro declared Niger Delta republic at the behest of northern oligarchs. Google it man, don't follow blind the jargons people write, the north pushed Boro to declare ND republic to spite the govt of Ironsi....divide and rule tactics.

As for Saro Wiwa, he saw nothing, he simply betrayed his southern brothers to please the north but guess what the same north summarily executed him, even on his execution day he still didn't believe Abacha signed his death warrant until the officer showed it to him. This knowledge is in public domain, help yourself with it and stop fighting your southern brothers, the common enemy here is the north
