Lewisjohnson: How many rules were bent for her to even get admitted? Stupidly low cutoffs, guaranteed quota system admission, skewed selection processes ........ There has to be a "best graduating student" in any school, naa, doesn't mean the person is any good compared to "average students" in other schools. Where is her school on the Nigerian universities list? She should please remain up there to treat her fellow harbowkeys, thank you very much. I don't want her anywhere near my relatives and friends. I care too much about them. 1 Like 1 Share |

Oops, nothing to celebrate here She obviously went to the best of secondary school, because in an average Northern school, they can't even communicate ""come and go" in English. Coupled with the fact that she got admitted out of connections ( corruption), she goes to school with a car and she has a house help, and she get paid 40k monthly with other benefits. Aside that, she gets favoured by useless lecturers because she's a female and from buying all her lecturers gifts. Talking from experience I'm not talking out of nothing, I have more than 5people that studied medicine in the North, and that's exactly what happens in the North. That doesn't mean she doesn't strive at all or not brilliant, but the fact still remain that putting her in an equal condition with all other Nigerians, she may never amount as the top 30 How many even know that they get paid 40-45k monthly as a medical student? They don't cook or do any house chores, they have maids, and they don't live in yamayama houses, where they suffer while I'm school like their mates. And also, they don't have to worry about jobs once they finish like the rest of us. So yes, they deserve cane if they don't come out well I'm school Until the children of nobody can become somebody in Nigeria, Nothing to congratulate about her success. I hardly congratulate any Northerner, especially females. Most of them you see with success in any area are from wealthy political thiefing families, their very poor people may never amount to anything, no matter their hardwork, likewise many average Nigerians 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Funflipper: Geniuses exist in every part of the world, even shockingly in the most educationally bereft. Calling this ridiculous simply says a lot about your exposure. I believe you know what "Advantage" means or portends. You already answered that question indirectly. Since we both can agree that the South has better schools, teachers, and even better educational facilities/structures, not to mention history or exposure, it clearly points at Educational Advantage. 1 Like |

The5DME: Why should you be interested in the covering of her hair? Can she not protect and practice her belief in peace? This is the height of religious intolerance. The fact that you like to eat before brushing your teeth doesn't mean others cannot exercise what they believe in: to brush before eating. In application, the fact that you're confortable to uncover your hair doesn't mean others are. Your belief, their belief. The headline is about someone (a female) receiving numerous awards for being the best graduating students in a special field, and what interests you the most is the covering of her hair. Thus attacking her belief. About what Muslim girls gain from covering their hairs. When you see a Muslim lady covering her hair and other sensitive part of her body, she gains DIGNITY from doing so. TarOrfeeek:You need to ask ur brothers who studied in the North, they'll tell u how things work. A Northern Lecturer will tell u he can give u 100k free instead of 1 mark but some professors and lecturers in the south are destroying academics with bribery and corruption. Collecting 10k or Toto for marks. I'm in the best position to tell u this. I knw FG university in the south that teaches Engineering but at lvl 400, they never had a single practical. I always tell them that if u graduate you'll be embarrassed to speak academics with ur colleagues from other universities. I'm very helpless with the immense corruption there and I'll soon transfer back to serious Univesity in either West or North. You need to know a lot before spitting shit and baseless allegations that one idiot out of ethno-religious hate whisper to ur ears. Academic doesn't work the way u make those allegations of cut of mark, cut of marks are standard and can't be compromised. 2 Likes |
