I am a Northerner and NEF does not represent my people’s position. We have elected leaders and representatives. These are the people that lead us and not a bunch of people under an unknowns umbrella. No wonder the president blasts them Often 1 Like |

I have pity for those clamoring for MIDDLE BELT nation.. They are so ignorant to know that alots of middle belt states had been infiltrated by iswap/Boko Haram/bandits... And those infiltrated states will be the bane of the new country(middle belt).. They will be terrorised by those states... It is better for these states to fight for their independence and form a separate nation 1. Plateau 2. Taraba 3. Southern Kaduna 4. Venue 5. Southern Bauchi These other states can't be trusted 1. Northern Kaduna 2. Kogi 3. Nasarawa 4. Kwara 5. Abuja 6. Niger There's no United middle belt nation |

kweensheba: How can elective offices be rotational in a democracy? I wonder why we keep deceiving ourselves that we are practicing democracy. Nigeria is a country that isn't meant to be, it should be disintegrated. |

South will resist this, this is the style they used to make sure from 1970 till 1999 north were handing over power from brother to brother. That made to the making of stup1d archaic laws like hisbah, sharia law etc |

kweensheba: This is the reason we should believe in secession. Rotational presidency will keep us on the same spot forever. We will never produce competent presidents because of lack of merit in the process of election. Ignorance is the reason many Nigerians still believe in one Nigeria |

Zico5:yes PDP governors asked that presidency should return to the north but wht happen? Jonathan the president then from the south disregarded them and contested , did anyone stop Jonthan from contesting. It is the same way the southerner governors have asked that the next president will came from the south but that will not stop northerners from contesting in 2023. It is the vote that counts if the south unite and vote for southerner fine that is where their power stopped, they cant force northerner to vote for southern candidate |

We warn the Southern Governors and their Northern collaborators that any attempt to ride on the back of such gratuitous insults to democratic fair play and crass political opportunism, to hoist incompetent leadership on the nation in the name of rotation would not be accepted and shall be vehemently resisted. I don't know any other president that can be more incompetent than Buhari, a northerner and a fulani man. |

Are we not practicing democracy again in this country? Which one is clamour for power shift? which one is rejection of power shift? As long as our constitution is concern, anyone is free to contest for an election in as far as you have all the required qualifications to do so. As for me and my immediate family, once Tinubu, Kingsley Moghalu, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Osibanjo is chosen as a candidate under APC, or other party except PDP then my vote and that of my entire family is for whoever emerge as the flag bearer of APC or any other party if my choose of candidate didn't emerge as the winner in the party primaries of APC. |

EzzyCarter:Very interesting times. Looks like prayers are being answered. In 2015, they didn’t talk about any competent Nigerian, it was north. Now, cos of unfinished business, they want to retain power, and even mentioning their cheat population. The southerners better maintain their ground. |

Some people in the North and some groups really make the north fits the description of most southerners who see the North as power mongers who are obsessed with control yet do nothing with power as majority of their people are the poorest in the country. Northern Governors, Arewa Governors, have meetings all the time, but there was no time I hear Southern Governors, individuals or groups worrying about them. Only twice or trice in my time have I seen Southern governors meeting and Arewa groups cannot sleep and have been whinning. Common! I remember when the South West introduced Amotekun, the North, especially the bandits supporting groups couldn't sleep. They ranted, screamed, cried, that Amotekun plot was to kill and destroy herders. That didn't happen. Today the same actors are screaming over Southern governors meeting and one of the main issue for them is that Southern governors are saying power should shift to south. Where is power shifting to before? What is the north doing with the power in their hands now? Some of these alarmist individuals and groups are the ones making the north look bad. The average man in the north just wants better life like his counterpart everywhere, but when election comes he will be brainwashed that it is better to have a Muslims or his brother there than an infidel. This brainwashing and propaganda usually works in a Nigeria where more than half the country are poorly or not even educated enough to make decision. This goes for many Christians too. This is democracy, everyone and group have the rights to air their views and grievances, but poisoning the atmosphere just to have your way or some paranoia of the south doesn't help anyone.
