there"s something i have come to noticed amongst we nigerians about the issue of dating white women.its becoming more and more controversal in the sense tht a nigerian man dating a white woman would be taken with dissaproval in our society but then nobody raises an eyebrow if its a nigerian girl dating a white man.Most times most nigerian girls tend to make snide remarks at us and even our parents are not left out of this sometimes saying a nigerian man who dates a white woman is lost and they tend to paint this negative sterotypes about white women kicking thier black husbands into jail.I do think this is unfair to us men.

what I don't understand is how is it ok for some nigerian men to sleep with white women but when it's time to marry they won't consider marrying them. why is that? they act like it's a sin to marry them

i think its because of the agelong sterotype about white women looking at black men as an inferior race.This is one of the reasons why most black men are hestitant to marry white women.They feel tht most white women might not make good material as a wife but would it would be ok when it comes to sex.But then this is an agelong long sterotype because i have seen some few white women who make better wives when they marry blackmen but society is still pressurising the blackmen on not to marry a white lady

Iice - a good number of my childhood friends in Naija were mixed race - Naija dads, european moms. However, a good number of the mixed race people I met here in the UK also had european fathers. I always felt that there were more Naija men than women marrying foreigners because of the sexual discrimination that was quite widespread during our parents time - i.e. people were more likely to educate their sons than daughters, so more men travelled abroad for education than women.

My personal theory as to why there may be more african women than men in mixed relationships nowadays is probably because the media has created this image of black men as aggressive and criminal minded beings, as a result people tend to be rather intimidated by black men, while black women are less threatening.

Although a lot more naija/black women dating white men, but it is not as much as black man with white woman.

i guess i know wat u mean, if a black man was with a white woman, u will hear an uproar of black woman saying how unfair it is, that there are many black women wantin to marry their black men, yet their men choose some1 whose not their own.

I more often than not don't fancy white women.

When I have slept with them, it has been induced by a night of drinking.

On the other hand I have been appreciative of a few who have had 'bunda' characteristics

no long tins if u see any woman wey get the money no wahala go,

but honestly @ times money is not the issue why u have to date a white lady, i will really appreciate a white woman who share my sense of humour and reason more like the picture i have in mind.

Probably because a fair amount of black men find white women less materialistic than their black counterparts.

Not saying all black women are materialistic, but that's been my experience to date.

May be different for other folk though.
