Is it not against the rules of the conduct of Elections?? How can a candidate so blatantly flout the rules of the game by bribing the electorates with so great a measure of bribe?? By doing what he did, he has succeeded in psychologically manipulating the electorates, especially those who will benefit from this, into feeling indebted to him. A debt they'd believe can only be repaid by voting him in. That is a menace to the concept of 'Free and Fair' elections. |
"Former president Atiku Abubakar has now reacted via his Twitter account" When did Atiku become a 'Former President'?? I agree completely with Atiku on this, Nigerian Youth are not lazy. They're doing exploits in diverse fields. Just give them an enabling environment and watch them thrive. Even with the hostile environment in Nigeria, some of them continue to thrive, and the rest still survive. Or does the 'Mallam-in-Chief' of the herdsmen think a lazy person can survive in the deplorable economy he succeeded in crafting with his gross level of ineptitude?. Atiku speaks the Truth, just like Buhari spoke the Truth in the time of Jonathan. We're still in the mess of the aftermath of voting him because he was an advocate of the truth, not realising he was a demon masterfully disguised and presented as an angel. Even the Devil speaks the truth when he needs you to do something. BE WISE! |
When Fulani herdsmen kill people, defenceless, innocuous people, it's a clash between them and those people. But when ARMED Fulanis are killed by people, they suddenly become VICTIMS. Crazy Media Crazy People Crazy Country. |
“For security, we have done quite well. Economy, we are doing very well, especially with agriculture; we are providing soft loans…” Fulani Herdsmen have been killing people with reckless abandon for over a year, leaving people in a state of perpetual mourning. Yet our security agencies have done nothing to stymie this flood of barbarism...and Buhari claims to have done well in terms of security! He's doing VERY well in terms of the Economy??... The last time I checked our Economy is in OMNISHAMBLES. Sometimes I even wonder whether we have Economic teams in the country. The clueless Lord of the Cattle even had the effrontery to refer to Agriculture as major point of success in the economy. The same Agriculture that his brethren and their infernal herds of cattle have almost rendered impossible to practice with their brazen invasion of farmlands. This Man opens his mouth and all doubts concerning his state of mind, his intelligence or lack thereof, is eliminated. |
Looking up to people is never advisable, looking up to people you have never met is even worse, looking up to people, looking up to people you have never met, on the internet, ( on a faceless forum, no less) that's even worse!!! Check out Hebrews 12:2 to know who you should look up to. |
Is this a joke? So I can begin the search for my sense of humor. Garri is good for your eyesight, the same way Buhari is perfect for Nigeria. |
The number one rule of betting: Never stake what you're not ready to lose. |
If only we could lock Nigeria against some persons. Especially the itinerant head of state with a questionable state of mind whom the ancestral blood of nomads running through his veins would not allow to sit in a place for longer than he can check on his herds of cattle and face the embodiment of crises that Nigeria has become. |
Everybody has a dream, sadly only a handful of them become reality. The dream of this 'Homo ERECTUS' is one of those handfuls. He wants to become President, why?? So he can erect demeaning, redundant and shoddy statues all over the country? As if the fact that Cows are competing with humans for the almost nonexistent resources in the country is not enough, this clownish rogue wants to add statues to the mix. Kindly 'Stick to your mud', please! |

Right from the days of John the Baptist until now, callous mothers have been pushing their naive daughters to take the head of unsuspecting men...Wicked World. |
It would would be extremely unwise for any Presidential candidate to wait till 2023. With the way Buhari is running Nigeria like Napoleon ran the Animal Farm, there might be no Nigeria come 2023 |
Are you sure they did not promise them amnesty fund?

Assuming he was in Nigeria, he would have been in Secondary School when he impregnated the first girlfriend and his parents would have delivered him from the Spirit that would not let him control his phallus and focus on his studies. The girl's parents would have threatened to castrate him, but he'd escape - barely. But they would make sure he and his family paid for the abortion. If the girl now dies after a 'successful quack surgery ', even if it was six month later, the girl's family would have arrested him for 'killing' their daughter. Fortunately for him, he isn't in Nigeria or anywhere near Africa - and their corpulent deposit of suffocating hypocrisy. I commend him for taking the responsibilities of his actions, and I commiserate with him on his losses. |
Jay-Z can never be half the 'man' his mother is. Very brave and 'handsome' Mummy. |
You're one funny little boy, sonny-jim. You're broke and the next thing that came to your puny, little mind is to search for a 'Sugar Lady' - Sugar ladies that are even more broke and desperately searching for Sugar Daddies. You'd better get sense, get your sissy-ass out there and get a bricklaying job before I slap your conscience from here

Tell me something I don't know, please!

Someone once called Nigeria a Zoo, but it is a thing of sorrow to note that George Orwell's age-old saying remains true even in this 21st century Animal Farm; 'All animals are equal. But some are more equal than others' Could Orwell have been a clairvoyant??...Or is it Nigeria that refuses to leave the past?? |
Politicians are not the greatest threat to Nigeria - they have never been. The greatest threat to Nigeria is in the structure of our society and the reasoning of the people that makes up this environment - a bunch of highly literate, yet uneducated weak-willed mollusks. These politicians were once members of this same society (Nigeria), so they are a product of the wretchedness of our society. The average Nigerian only seeks to better his lot, and his lot alone, even at the detriment of other member of that same society. Some even enjoy bettering their lot especially when it is at the detriment of other people. The worst part is that the lot they selfishly seek to better might already be a thousand times better than those of everyone in their immediate vicinity combined and doubled twice over, but avarice will continue to propel them forward. So when they eventually become Politicians and are elected into office, that same greed they imbibed from the society becomes manifested in manifold folds - creating a throng of heartlessly callous Politicians who continue to loot without restraint and to ignore the pains of the masses with studious concentration, a habit they've mastered in their years of bettering their lots at the detriment of other members of the society without being challenged. |
SO DARK THE CON OF MAN... |
RIP to the man. Please people at home, never attempt to play a superhero unless you have superpowers . LIFE has no duplicate!! Even that Chosen pastor that tackled two armed robbers with gun the other day had a 'bulletproof CAPE' BE WISE!!! |
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I knowa. Who is the Mayor? |
Sense has obviously eluded this people. Why would you hurt yourself to thank God for Miracles or to ask HIM for miracles, unless you never understood the tenets of the religion you claim to practice. I have seen fanatics, but these people are simply devoid of cognitive reasoning. 'That you're on the NARROW WAY does not mean you have to be NARROW MINDED' |

I have no problem with his political ambition, or given his party of affiliation in a state where hostility towards that party is effusive, uncensored and unhidden - DREAM. But someone should help me beg him in the name of GOD to NEVER EVER put the name of JESUS and the name of that gang of bloodsucking Demons on the same poster or Billboard. Light has no fellowship with darkness. |
Nothing is all roses and roses, there must always be some sprinkling of thorns inside of it. Who would have thought that the technology that was designed to make life easier could eventually be used to frustrate that same life to the point of asphyxiation. Take heart! |
Just take a look at his head! Bereft of hair! and bereft of Brain. As if being gay isn't bad enough, he had to be a damnable Paedophile too. |
let me laugh first... The man has done a great job, but the condition of our Country in general and the Educational environment in particular will frustrate him...a lot |
Today is the day that Jesus Christ said it; IT IS FINISHED!!. |
Seriously?? Is he surreptitiously referring to the fact that citizens must not be the only ones deriving benefits from this haphazard contraption that Nigeria has become but first class citizens (COWS) must also derive benefits too? If you chop their beef, you must also provide YOUR LAND for them to chop your grass??...Is that it? |
In English, there is a topic called CONCORD - agreement between the subject and the verb. Under Concord, there are three subdivisions; -The Grammatical Concord. -The Proximity Concord; and where we're headed.. -The Notional Concord. The Notional Concord deals copiously with IMPLIED meanings, especially of collective Nouns. 'The poor' in that sentence can be implied to mean a collection of people who have one thing in common -Poverty- but are considered as autonomous entities, thus attracting a plural connotation. In that case 'The poor know' would be the appropriate answer, making D a reasonably plausible answer. However, 'The poor' can also denote a coalition of poor people who have jettisoned their individualities and embraced their ONENESS, thus attracting a SINGULAR Verb as a result of the Singular undertone . In that case, 'The poor knows' becomes infinitely more plausible thereby making B the required amswer.. Just like we say 'APC *IS* a party of crooks', we can also say 'The poor knows that the best is yet to come' and still be making a perfectly correct sentence In summary, Both B and D are correct depending on the notion implied by the speaker/writer. It should also be borne in mind that the rigidities of the Written English prefer D to B while the flexibility of the Colloquial English allows for B. But, ultimately, they're both correct. |
Wise Man....turning a setback into a comeback. Attempting to make a fortune from a misfortune...Kudos! I am still watching TECNO like..
