Hello, Has anyone tried listing on Afternic with 'Make Offer'?. I listed a domain name with 'Make Offer' and they sent me a price request. Claiming there is a lead but I suspect they just want me to put a 'BIN price'. Experienced insights would be appreciated. |
You owe it to your brother and your wife to report yourself. Your Brother might kill you, though. |
You are just making me angry here. |
xammax:Contact them and ask them to help you understand the reason for your suspension. They will reply to that and you can apologize if you had made an unconscious mistake. They'll let you know that they won't tolerate such again, though. I made the mistake of listing a domain name that was similar to mine on their platform once and they suspended my account. But we were able to resolve. |
DONOCHAS:Use chrome. Opera os weak. |

From all indications, the strike is likely to be called off. I was privy to information that ASUU basically has 7 ultimate demands and six of these demands are related to the welfare of lecturers. And the seventh is the revitalization of institutions across the country. The government is ready to attend to the six welfare demands to appeal to the selfish core of the striking lectures and induce them to call of the strike. The FG however is not ready to attend to the seventh, and mpst important one. Due to lack or funds, they claimed. So if the strike is called off today, we'd all undeestand the kind of agitation that ASUU stands for. |

I have been trying to integrate google analytics into my domaining strategy. But it hasn't been simple or straightforward. I have successfully opened an account, with a single domain name in the account. I got a tracking code that I took to Undeveloped and inserted it in the space provided. That was simple and smooth. I have even seen a couple of analytics on it. 22/26 visits were from France. But given the submission of haykay on 100% bounce rates, I believe they are bot visits. So, the problem now is that I am attempting to add more domain names to the GA account. I initially attempted to open a new account on my GA prpfilr for each domain name. That was easy. But they gave me new tracking IDs for each domain names. So I was stuck with so many tracking IDs but only one space for tracking IDs on Undeveloped. THAT IS THE CRUX OF MY GA TROUBLES NOW. I sha finally did a little bit of research and I found that I could add more properties(DNs/websites) to a single account. Did exactly that and I was given Universal tracking code to INPUT ON THR TITLE PAGE OF EACH DN. I just dey look me look GA. They even mentioned one Google Tags or something like that. That's why I need someone to PLEASE explain how to go about it. Thanks, people. |
This domain business is hard like coconut, I swear!. |
AYORICH:Evening. From your explanations, I was able to deduce that the buyer was having a problem with getting the Domain Name through your undeveloped landing page. So, you should just delist it and relist it on Afternic or Sedo. Whichever one you find convenient, I am fairly sure that they'd support push transfer. You can try that while waiting for the bosses in the house. And congrats in advance. |
Before the useless bank was sold to Polaris, I was already making plans to close my account with them. In fact, I'd advise anyone who thinks he/she has no alternative to Polaris Bank to consider Piggy Bank. It's safer, less stressful and very efficient. Polaris Bank is just useless. I was at an ATM stand to withdraw money in September, and this useless Bank deducted money when the ATM didn't dispense any money. I have been to their branch near me endless number of times. Sometimes, I even think I am more familiar with the route to the bank than I am with the route to my house. That's how frequently I have been there. Yet, they have not rectified the transaction till this moment. And their customer service. They are so wonderful in their uselessness. It is a benchmark for uselessness. Their employees act like they are doing you a favour by doing their jobs. Acting as if you're just a nuisance. Very useless. While that case is still pending, same thing happened again last week. Deducted Money, No Money dispensed!!!. The Bank is the epicenter of frustration. And their useless lip service and halfhearted apologies are very annoying. Disgusting, even. I should have travelled now, but I am completely stranded because of this useless bank. And if not for the crookedness of the CBN and the wickedness of the powers that be, the useless bank should have been shut down eons ago. Install incinerators in the spaces their branches currently occupy and it'll serve more important purposes than having those banks waste valuable, scarce spaces. I support, without any hesitation or reservations, the total and absolute shut down of POLARIS BANK. Too many useless entities in this country already, we don't need more of them. Seun, pls make sure this thread gets to front page. People are suffering and no one seems to be willing to do anything about it. Don't be a part of these people. The platform that this forum provides can make a huge difference, let it happen. I will patiently wait for them to refund my money and then I'll make sure I close my account and never look back at the uselessness of the useless bank. The number of times I mentioned 'useless' in this post is just a fragment of the enormity of their worthlessness as a banking corporation. |

WHY WE SHOULD ALL BE PESSIMISTS Yes, you read that right. All of us should be pessimists. Contrary to popular beliefs, nothing is wrong with being a pessimist. In fact being a pessimist gives you a kind of freedom from unnecessary anxiety and disappointing expectations. In this life, there are basically two kinds of principles that governs the lives of people; The Principle of Pessimism; and The Principle of Optimism. But Life itself recognises only a single principle of life- The Principle of Realism. So whether you are a Pessimist or you are an Optimist doesn't matter, you are still wrong. Life recognises only The Realists, but unfortunately none of us fall into that category because Reality is dynamic and none of us can comprehend it. In short, all of us are just living a life that is directed by confusion even though we have the conviction that we are living the right life. The variance of the wrongfulness of the two principles that govern human life is however varying in degree. To put it in perspective, just assume that Optimism, Pessimism and Realism are planets. Pessimism and Realism would be in the same Solar System while Optimism would be in another Universe entirely. If you've been around for a while, you'd have seen a few dimensions of Reality, and you would agree with me that there is nothing optimistic about it. You would notice that the closest thing to Reality is, in fact, Pessimism. The Malthusian Theory regarding how population growth, if not controlled, would eventually exceed the capability of the Earth to sustain it resulting in mass death of mankind from extreme famine is an eye opener on the prevalence of the Principle of Pessimism. The United Nations do not totally subscribe to this theory but measures have been and are still being put in place to prevent that eventuality because they realized that Malthus' Theory is not far from reality. You will hardly find any such theories that forecasts a future utopian society that would characterize the perspectives of an Optimist. Even if you do find one, taking a stroll and a look around would definitely convince you otherwise. Why should we all be Pessimists?. I am sure you've seen the reason already. But to further put it in perspective, let's use the popular example of a Cup that is filled to the middle with water. An Optimist will see that and say 'Oh, the cup is half full'. So what does he do?. He either sits around and wait for someone to top-up the cup until it is fully full or he looks for ways of doing it himself. A waste of time if he chooses the former and a waste of resources if he goes with the latter. A Pessimist on the other hand would see the cup and say 'Geez, it's half empty already'. So what does he do?. He grabs the cup and drinks the water before someone else does, after all he is a Pessimist. Saves time, saves resources. Can you see how close the action of the Pessimist is to the proverbial action of the Realist, whom we agree does not exist, in this popular illustration? Have you seen why you should be a pessimist? In case you haven't, let me cite a real life example. Suppose there is a vacancy for a job and both the Pessimist and the Optimist applied for it. But none of them got the job, who do you think would be more disappointed and depressed? Exactly!, the Optimist. It may seem ironic but being a Pessimist relieves you of the effect of disappointments because you actually expect disappointments. Less disappointments equal less depression. Meanwhile, the Optimist on the other hand suffers several series of brutal disappointments until he eventually becomes a sore, reluctant and grumpy Pessimist with a bruised ego. Have you now seen the reason we should all be Pessimists?. "Disappointment is the order of the day. Expect it and you'd rarely be disappointed". O.M.G 2018. Lalaticlala, Mynd44, Nairalanders, let's hear your opinions and feedbacks. |

cdor777:1. I don't think Afternic has a sales lander page. They just 'park' your domains with adverts, and they do that automatically when you list your domains with them. If you need a Sales Lander Page, list your domain names on Undeveloped. 2. This is due to the fact that the domain names you submitted for listing are still under review. The review may take a while. You can check the status of your listed domain by going to 'listed domains' on your Afternic account. It'll show whether they're still 'in review' or 'listed'. Once they're listed, you'll be able to find them when you search for them. |

According to information gathered from from online sources, the unemployment rate in Nigeria stands at 18.80% in the third quarter of 3017. Ordinarily, that may seem pretty low, but a further research would quickly set you straight. In that same year, Ghana had an unemployment rate of 2.40%, Ivory Coast had 2.60%, and Kenya's was at 11.50%. Of the 54 recognized countries in Africa, the supposed Giant of Africa occupies the undignifying ninth position of countries with the highest unemployment rate. With the current population size and the growth rate in Nigeria, the government can never hope to provide enough jobs to substantially reduce the unemployment rate. It can only try and given the kind of government we have in Nigeria, the trying will be most evident in their campaign manifestoes. We'll continue to search for the evidence in reality. The only viable solution to this infernal problem is the massive engagement of the populace in rewarding entrepreneurship undertakings. Various NGOs and governmental organizations have made serious and continuous attempt to educate and reorientate the people on the possibility of a lasting solution to unemployment in the country through Entrepreneurship. The government even made a comic effort at integrating so-called entrepreneurship courses in the educational system. But like every other thing in the Nigerian Educational System, it is effusively theoretical and therefore grossly inefficient. The onus is therefore on private individuals and NGOs to correctly educate people on entrepreneurship. In most cases, people (and organizations) rarely teach you more than the basics of Entrepreneurship; Find your talent, Look for opportunities to convert it to what people demand for, Monetize your talent, You may fail, but keep at it, You'll eventually succeed no matter what it takes. Or they'll just give you the age old cliché lines; Do what you love( I love eating and sleeping), Do it well, And you'll make money. The banality of these lessons is not even the problem, Entrepreneurship is all about spotting viable opportunities and exploiting them and no one can really teach you that, they can only try. The problem is that most of this Entrepreneurship orientation programs rarely emphasize the intensity of the problems encountered by entrepreneurs and how to deal with them. And Entrepreneurship is fraught with myriads of problems. Apart from the level of risk, excessive time demands, the shaky state of the economy, there's the ever present problem of Capital Acquisition. Most people who desire to go into Entrepreneurship are the unemployed and the underemployed. Getting capital for an entrepreneurial undertaking cpuld be very difficult for such people. Yet, lack of access to sufficient capital is not the ultimate problem of prospective entrepreneurs. The major problem of prospective entrepreneurs in Nigeria is the Lack of Ideas. Oftentimes, it is desperation that pushes people towards Entrepreneurship, and not innovation. And that is really not ideal. Some would even have the capital and still be bereft of ideas on what to do with it. That is the nexus of entrepreneurial problems in Nigeria, and any attempt to educate people on Entrepreneurship should at least contain some elements that are specifically tailored to address this problem. At this point, I'll leave you with this question; If you had a reasonable level of resources, do you have a viable business plan in mind?. |
iykepromotions:Well done, Sir. Could You please send me the Sales Letter Format. zheromg66@gmail.com is my email |
haykay2005:I see. |
dvkot:Believe Me sir, if you have a Domain Name like that you won't need to do outbounding. They'll come to you. Just yesterday a guy on Namepros opened a thread that he was searching for a 'Crypto' and 'Coin' related Domain Names. And his budget was up to $2000 dollars. So if you manage to get a 'Crypto' DN, just list them on Afternic, Sedo, etc. Then sit back, Fold your arms, Check your emails regularly, and watch the number of Inbound mails you'll receive. |
dvkot:1. You may get away with registering 'typo' Domain names if they are not Trademarked. But I'll strongly advise against doing that sort of thing. The owner of the original Domain Name may not find it funny and he'll definitely swear for you. Besides if you want to try that, I am sure you'd be targeting established Domain Names whose Visitors are very conversant with the correct one. Ultimately, your Domain Name will be useless to the Owner of the original Domain Name...but he'll still swear for you. 2. I think anything 'Krypto' and '_coins' wouldn't be available if they had any value to anybody. I mean you wouldn't even see anyone available at all. When you see the way they snatched up all 'Cryto' , 'Coin' and '_coin' keywords, you'll realise why. I have personally searched for 'Crypto' and 'Coin' and '_coin' keyword ever since Sedo announced the launching of a special auction for those keywords this Month. Cryptoday, Cryptomorrow, Rubicoin, Unicoin, Coinucopia, Coinplete, even Coindiments. All of them have been taken. You can still see three words crypto but I don't know how valuable that is. Focus on 'bits' if you still want any reasonable Domain Name related to bitcoin and leave 'Krypto' and 'coins' alone. 3. According to what our Professors in Domaining have been saying: Your Email does not matter, the quality of your Domain Name does. But if you're still interested in setting up a Private/Professional Email, just visit Zoho. It's very easy to set up using one of your Domain Names. Lastly, everything I have written up there, except for item No. 3 are my own opinions. And I am just a Rookie, so you may wait for what our Profs have to say. |
