Then you must have missed history classes during your secondary school days

No, it was the curriculum, Northern history was omitted.

It was very rampant in the North, their trading route were both trans Sahara and trans Atlantic

Tafawa balewa's grandfather was a repatriated slave saved by British Navy

The major problem was that after Fulanis took over Hausa kingdoms, they only kidnapp and sold hausas... This made many Hausa flee down South and met with British Colonialist soldiers

The British and the Hausa fleeing slaves started the British west Africa frontier force... They succeeded in sending Fulani emirs away and stopping slave trade

British in turn made Hausa the First Constabulary of Nigeria , later local police, which later became Nigerian Army

.

Arrewa brodas have been very troublesome since the beginning of time.

Those skinny men cause so much anxiety and stampede everywhere they set their cracked heels.
I watched a video of one Emir I think from Taraba talking tough with his hands shaking and lamenting about the destructions of Arrewa Jalo brodas.
Fulanis should be fumigated so Nigeria will breathe fresh air.

How is Jihad related to slave trade?

undecided
Not directly but many people in conquered territories were forced to convert or were under treat of becoming slaves thogh conversion might not necessarily protect them
That is a core part of Islam despite their deceitful claims of no compulsion in religion.
Mind you I am not a Christian either

Nigeria alone supplied about ⅓ of all slaves ever
That's why they call our coast line "slave coast"

because the jihadist raid villagers and kidnapped people sell them to slavery, infact it's a hunting game where they will come fight a village killed the weak and sold the beautiful and strong ones . Hausa man has been evil.

Your last statement is really unnecessary as the trade slaves was across Africa entirely

do you know what our great grandfathers went through. If they ( Hausa) enter your villages they will empty your sailors and feed their animals with our grains packed the remaining and kidnapped people to their emir. They will organise themselves and go for Jan hunting if you catch 2 or 3 people the sarki will take one for himself.

Now tell us how did the slave trade happen down in Southern Nigeria? Was it willingly?

There were the jihads. Northern Nigeria was not predominantly hausa until Uthman dan fodio reared his ugly head.

Haba!!!!
You are mixing up Hausa and Fulani! Uthman Dan Fodio was a Fulani. Majority of people living in Northern Nigeria are Hausa

This is a story too long too for for justice to be done to it by a post here. If you are really interested in learning, there are books both online and offline.
Uthman Dan Fodio was a Fulani man that fought against Hausa states, replaced the Hausa rulers with Fulani rulers. Also, remember that Islam was Northern Nigeria before the Uthman Dan Fodio's jihad.
This topic was about slavery in Northern Nigeria. Not the Utham Dan Fodio's jihad

He asked if there was slave trade and I said there were jihads instead.

Unless you can show me a timeline of northerners being sold and shipped off. With proof of where they settled after slavery had been abolished.

Slave trade happened all over Nigeria!
Remember, even before the transatlantic slave trade, most tribes in Nigeria were engaged in local slave trade. This includes the North. Most of the slaves captured or sold to northern slave traders send to North Africa through the Sahara trade route. In fact, Ilorin was set up to stop slave raiding from the North and the Ilorin gaining independence from Yoruba were led by former slaves that fought with Afonja.
It is better to not argue when you don't know.
The issue you won't see the impact of slaves in North Africa and Arab countries is that they don't allow slaves to have children. So slaves are replaced by new ones and when slavery ended, all slaves died out. However, even at that, if you look well, you will meet darker Arabs that have black ancestors

One of the main reasons why Islam spread in Africa is because the Muslims cared for each other and didn't sell each other into slavery (they sold infidels) and even those sold were not sold to the Atlantic slave trade which was far worse compared to other slave trade at the time.

Compare this with Igbo and Yoruba rulers who gladly sold their own people into slavery and you understand Afonja and Ilorin war better.

I think they did but it wasn't a culture to give up slaves over there, but Southern already had many custom that exile people and domestic slave trade before the British. Or another explanation was Nothern Nigeria was already under a foreign rule (Uthman dan fodio) even before the white came.

This is blatant falsehood and you know it. Till this day we still have "maguzawa" (heathens)in Kano not to speak of other places in the North. if it was forceful conversion how come these heathens still survived.

That is your claim

How many are they today

There are three types of slave trades that were usually taught in history classes in Nigerian schools: the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, the Trans-Sahara Slave Trade and the Domestic Slave Trade.

those ones are transported by ships, beside they don't raid town to kidnapped everyone they only sell those they regarded as prisoners of war.

You react like explosive chemicals
Full of emotion and no reason
Go back and read what I wrote
Are you saying there was no forceful conversion at all yes or no
Did I say EVERYONE was forced to convert

So where is the "blatant lie" in what I said or the contradiction with your claim that so called Maguzawa survive. Does that prove there was no forceful conversion.

Here you are calling someone a liar. Pointing one finger when the other nine are pointing at you
Even today is there no forceful conversion
Are non Muslims not married by force
Forceful conversion is not only by putting the sword to people's throats even though that may happen it includes discriminatory taxes and social practices
