First things first

SET A WEDDING BUDGET
It's critical that setting your budget be the first step in planning your wedding. It might not be the most fun part of the process, but it’s a task that really needs to be completed first because it sets the rest of your wedding planning process into motion. The last thing you want is to fall in love with a venue, vendor, dress, etc. and realize it’s completely out of range. So sit down with your partner to come up with a total budget.

- Set a reasonable budget. Anything that would make you borrow, is not reasonable. Cut your coat according to your size.

- Do not let your parents or friends pressure you into exceeding your budget. If they want it big, they should support or even sponsor the wedding. Remember, there is life after wedding.

- Let your budget be based on your earnings(you and your partner). Do not rely or make your plans based on the money friends/family promised you. This would help you not to be stranded if they fail to live up to their promises.

So, do you have a budget already?
Yes? That's great wink
No? Get to work

Weddings are some of the most exciting and stressful events of our lives. General advice is to keep the guest list small. It's really important not to confuse "people who matter" with "strangers" - nobody should be put on the list simply because they personally ask.
(Try to) send invitations in advance (so) that your guests can plan their schedules, (and don't forget) close family members! Family members should be contacted directly if possible, or via wedding-related phone calls at their workplaces.
