A poor man's mentality is different from a rich man's mentality. e.g.
A poor man thinks washing machine in a household is for lazy people while a rich man thinks washing machine makes life easier

Because they gat to role with their class that's just life, plus broke people are leeches they only want to be friends with you cause of the money nothing else so why not hang around your rich pals who won't leech on you.

So that their money and their wealth will not disappear in the mouth of a Hungry Leech with Thick Lips
